Most 2v2 games are about fast rushes..well on knife fight, spice bowl, worm garden etc. I always prefered 1v1 games bacause i often countered with game winning tactics slightly later on. But in 2v2 u need some early units because u have an ally to worry about. :/

Elite and I have been playingfor along time, and for you owning two harks on knife, 10k, i dont think you could beat me when i am playing hark, and i am pretty bad. There are subs too you know, i if i remember right dont you play 10k no pre, and go for a fac quick, and rush there base, or was it a chem rush, either way we will have too see.

However, in two vs. two games, I have often played as Atreides and gotten the rock furthest from the action, and it has paid off greatly.

Hello, taq. Your statement is correct only if your opponents are either atreides or are not very aggressive. If you are dealing with aggressive opponents, and your atreides is on rock #6, you probably will be dead. Your partner will get double rushed (at least thats what I would be doing) and you will not be able to get there in time. Over time, yes, atreides becomes very powerful. But aggressive players will always look to eliminate someone early, and almost always it is the guy in between them. By having atredies on rock 2 or 3, ordos is so fast, it can get there easily to fend off a double team and protect any slow moving minos you might have marching towards your opponent. But just my opinion, as always, my opinions do not necessarily reflect reality! :)

hi, Cerb. I'm basically a 6 mapper. The following maps I know very well and enjoy playing:

knife fight

spice bowl

fisher plain

cradle basin

arged desert

ruins of cale braen

these are my favorite maps. Sometimes I'll play koth, worm, or patchwork, which are also pretty cool. But i really dont bother playing maps i do not enjoy. who would? But because I am a fair person, if I challenge anyone to a duel, we each get a chance to choose our settings. I dont criticize anyone for their maps. If you are even a one-mapper, fine with me. As long as you play on my map, I will gladly play on yours.

I'll be going on tonight, I'll see if I can catch you then. I'm quite sure I'm right about hark's advantage over ordos and atr when there's no starting units (on lower money games anyway). Have you ever played Sdeg? He left a long time ago, but he made a living off his hark settings...6k, pre-built, 0 units. Saws and inf - worked every time. If the enemy tries to tech up and get a mino or a kob, the saws can still kill it and any cover it has. It works better against ordos, since atr have a cheap, effective turret, but other than that, it's almost impossible to stop ('cept if you harv drop, but that's desperate).

I agree with most of what you said about teamwork, but there's something big that you missed. Sometimes, you have to take one for the team. Cerb and I won many games simply because one of us got double-rushed. If both of them attacked me, I would accept death and hold them off as long as possible. I would do this because I know that cerb wouldn't bother to make a frivelous attempt to save me, instead he'd wipe out one of the open enemies and prepare for a 1v1 battle. I got quite good at holding off the double rush, and the attackers were left with few units when I was dead, leaving the door wide open for cerb to destroy them. The same went vice versa for cerb.

ya ok sounds good. dunno if u regulars have notice but i'm can't play this week cause of finals. snuck in a couple 1 vs 1 with sarb tho. lawd hab mercy i still got 1 exam today 1 paper due today and 1 paper due friday but friday after i come home i plan to aquire some trees and do some qualitiy fighting. all i ask is that we dont have a 4 ordos game, yaya i know when it comes down to it ordos is important cause they are the most responsive army but i think 4 ordos games are not that fun, but mebe that's me and worm's fault cause when we see 4 ordos we only thinkin 1 thing which many of you probably know but im not saying. please excuse my lack of ummm paragraphs and capitals but my brain, she be fried right now help me i have many many pages of malcolm 10 and assata shakur to read and write about.

ok mino win that one i admit but if the mino are busy then woohoo zap zap zap i help my minos win taht one 'less u got them invisible snipers hiding behind ur minos then o well gj u killed my sards but i bet they still did enough to turn win teh tide of battle. if i had to choose between 5 sard leets and any other 5 infanty or any single warfact or hanger unit i take the sards nodoubt, unless i am atr without hanger/or hanger upgrade and u offer me a advcarryall for 5 sards i might have to take taht offer. but it comes down to the sards got jukes baby, and a sard can take 1 volley from mino, ya it hurts like hell, but if imma runnin sideways then u only hit the lagger sards and then they stop and blast yoass. ya the feds are good against lasertanks but man i dont like to be chasin them tanks with fremen or trying to put onguard fremen where i think ur lasers will escape too ya im lazy i rather let my sards sit there and zap em, ill take the loss but i already said that.

THIS ONE goes out to all you complainers. All's fair in love and war baby. you dont get no sympathy from me. ya i dont ride worms or mcv drop or eng drop (actually i did eng drop once recently but I didnt feel bad cause he rode worms on me,ehhe you know who you are u bastard, you like how i jacked or made u sell everysingle one of ur refs?but you still won and all that did was delay the inevitable) but lord knows im not gonna bitch about it if u do it on me. jesu christo most of you know my base is usually vulnerable to eng drops anyway. in my book the only cheap tactics are flying drones and eits in teh black, ya i know sometimes drones wander in there and if one of mine do please tell me and ill pull it out and if one of your drones wander in there u can be sure you get a earfull, but eits is purely intentional and is bullshiz so dont do it. ya and the harv dropping thing. personally I think its cheap, since when did harvs become the primary target of all offensive units i dunno. but even that ya ill probably curse you for it and call u a ho but i suppose you are voluntarily risking some part of your economy, harvs and carryalls dont come cheap so ok i'll give you props if it results in a victory but still I prefer a head up fight.

ya im dissapointed that not so many people play nomore, but waddaugonna do. lets make the best of what we got cause what we got is still a tightass game. and we still got enough good players around and some old guys even creep up outta the woodworks from time to time. I dedicate this post to those vets who helped me out when I was new. hey vilgent! good to see you. me and sard are playing a lot. come online, grab a parter and hit us up if ya want. The cerb thing was definatly cool. I saw earedil "online" in my friends list. I havent seen that happen for months. I couldnt believe it so I paged him and he invited me to join his game. Heck ya. I asked if there was room for sardcore, but there wasnt. :(

So i cant pass this up. I needed some revenge. The only games I ever played vs. earedil was back in feb or march of this year. I played him 3 games and lost them all! Lol! Though one of them was close, I almost beat him. He's so good. Anyway, I join the room and gza is there with eare and cerb. First map is worm garden. QM settings (belch! I HATE QM settz, but o well). Me and gz are ordos. Ear and cerb are ordos, hark respectively. There was no doubling really. Cerb was right above me. Eara right above gza. Eara and cerb tried to double gza, so I ran up and planted some mortar on a rock by cerbs base and killed him with my kobra and dusties to support. Meanwhile gza was killing eara on his own. But I still dusted over to help gza double eara. A good win. They want rematch. Next game spice bowl, same houses. lol this was a differnt story. Cerb rushes gza with a barrage of buzz and inf. I run down to try to help gza while eara runs down to help fend me off and double gza. Eara is a remarkable player. While eara was down there doubling gza and attacking my dusties, he is MULTITASKING and making fremen worms back in my base camp- freaking doing two things at once. Lol. I was killed quick cuz the worms wiped my harvs. So we go 1-1. Very good games. Of course, next time it will be my settings: 10K no prebuilt, no dam QM settz on knife fight.
