What is your favourite movie in each of the following genres:

Action, Adventure, Animated, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Romance, Science fiction, Thriller, Western. Don't hesitate to add in your own genre(s).

This is how it it for me (for some of the genres):

Comedy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Science fiction: Star Wars

Western: Haven't seen too many but The Outlaw Josie Wales is excellent.

Adventure: The Lord of the Rings

Animated: eeh, Shrek

Comedy: The Holy Grail

Drama: I hate drama!

Horror: only waste :)

Romance: I hate it even more then Drama (only hate it when it's on it's own. It can be added with an other type of genre movie)

Science Fiction: Star Trek First Contact

Thriller: Jurassic Park

Western: Isn't this an adventure?

Animated: I haven't seen many, so no vote on this one.

Comedy: The naked gun

Drama: I hate them too

Horror: Arachnaphobia

Romance: not in movie, please.

Science fiction: Star Trek IV: The Undiscovered Country

Comedy: AUSTIN POWERS BABY! (all three make me piss myself)

Drama: Anything without lawyers

Horror: I don't like horror much, but I thought the scream series was ok...

Romance: pfft...I aint a woman...I can use my imagination :D j/k

Science fiction: Sphere

Comedy: Dang...I can't think of a really good one, Doc Hollywood

Drama: The Breakfast Club

Horror: Storm of the Century

Romance: Scream 1, 2 and 3 (The whole Dewey/Gale thing)

Science Fiction: Star Trek Six, Dune and Resident Evil

Thriller: Fatal Attraction and Crash

Western: Tombstone

Historic: Good Morning Vietnam

War: Full Metal Jacket

Im an idiot. My favorite sci fi movie is 2001!!! Where do you think TMA 1 came from? I am off to the gas giant to find the stargate TMA 2... not really.lol

Remember, my genres are not hard and fast. Change them to suit yourself. I just thought that Westerns are quite different from 'ordinary' adventure movies; it's a whole other style of filming.

Anyway, I'd just like to add in a new genre to my first list (that I forgot), and that is Fantasy.

My favourite Fantasy movie is The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (what a mouthful!).

Animated: Shrek ("I'm gonna need some serious therapy after this; look at my eye twitching!" ;D)
