With the recent re-vamping of the official Dune Website, a new Dune Novel has been announced. Called "Paul of Dune" it will take place shortly after House Corrino and will cover the early years of Pauls life. As the re-vamped site still has Dune 7 listed as the last Dune novel Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson will write, this one will probably be released in another three years, after the Legends Of Dune trilogy. Also, you can find a new short story, which is available for download here. This story, called Hunting Harkonnens, takes place just prior to The Butlerian Jihad. Plus, there is another excerpt from The Butlerian Jihad available to be read, here. Other updates include:A Dune Timeline, a list of scheduled appearances, a small page about the Children Of Dune miniseries, some background info on The Butlerian Jihad, and a whole lot of new additions to the news page. The site is vastly different than it used to be, featuring a new layout and a section devoted entirly to the new Legends Of Dune trilogy. Check it out.Unfortunately, still no sight of that links page Anderson wrote about. Hopefully it's still coming.
