Gaming Forum Renders General Forum Irrelevant

Yes, that's right. Now that there is a "Gaming" Forum, 90% of the interesting posts that would normally appear in the General Forum get moved to the Gaming Forum. Which means, the General Forum is now irrelevant for the most part. We are PC game players so most of what we all have in common to talk about is PC games. What else are we gonna talk about together on a regular basis in the General Forum? Your "Toe Nail Clippings Collections"?

I understand that the millions of threads about War3 were getting out of hand for a non-War3 board, but to make a Gaming Forum that renders the General Forum mostly-lifeless is not a good solution.

Nav, very, very few of the topics in this forum were game realated. Just because you think computer games are the most important things in life doesn't amke it so for everybody. Even after eliminating every game topic in this forum, it still remains the most popular forum on the board.

LoL Mahdi. I like the gaming forum. Sorts everything out. And ne ways, there no point in crying about it. The Gob-Man has decided to make a "Gaming" forum, and theres no point in trying to have him close it.

I don't mind the gaming forum either. It forces me to look over one more forum and a bunch more topics than I used to, but this way the good topics in general don't get buried by all the hundreds and thousands of gaming topics.

Oops, there were only about 5 gaming topics. Jeez, I must have forgot that games arn't the most important things in everybodies life.

It's very simple Nav, just shift 90% of the time you used to spend here to the Game forum and the remaining 10% you can stay here. It ain't that difficult really..

Seperate areas is the right thing to do. My only suggestion is a seperate War 3 forum...that would help attract new people to the site and maybe even attract people to emperor.

I have posted in a number of non-game topics myself Nav. I have seen things from Canda Day to World Cup on there. Your just looking for problems to point out now that you pinted all of emperor's bugs out ;D

Let me think, how many topics in general are ever about games? Some, but not nearly all. So, if we have some discussion about Canadian Politics, it would be moved to the Gaming Forum because General is now irrelevant? At least that is what you imply Nav. Not everything revolves around games, even if topics like politics, relationships, your rants, and religion often seem like them.
