Hello, I'm looking for some help on how to get boards like WW, my site www.geocities.com/thebestgunner/Emperor.html has a board but the problam is that they dont split subjects up. Now I registered a www.com site and it gave me more chioces etc.....but I still didn't get better board options, I've heard that you can register ay certain board sites and they'll give you boards like WW's but I still dont know, how do i make boards like this one? Thanks for your help. Until next post, Vilgent.

As Frodo said your host needs to support certain things in order for you to run a board like this. There are some places that offer free boards but they are usually plagued with popups.

Oh and if you need help Frodo I'll be in the #fed2k channel for a while tonight.

If you have a 24-7 connecting at home you can also set up your server there and just register an domainname. Simply link that to your server at home.

You do need cable, DSL, sat-up and down link, T-1 or T-3 at home and the same IP every time.

And when you use a hosted web page make shure your host allows you to run the scripts you need for your site together with the bandwith you'r gon'na use a month.

Oh, and teh standard scripting you get is most of the time not sufficient, so try to find another form of forum software to run on your site. That usually helps alot.

Ah, ok. :)

I didn't have clue what you ment before.

I thought every one has solved there board problem. It was just an "extra" remerk for those who have the connection I mentioned. If they like to start there own site / board they can verry easy do it at home.

[ well, easy, the securety is probbebly not that great .. ]

Some might overlook this option.

In the Netherlands a lot of people did that with the cable provider called "Chello". They are now blocking port 80 to all there clients as a result.
