The forum software has been upgraded to a new version.

Things should load a bit faster now and there has been a number of other improvements to the code. If you notice any errors let me know.

I am still doing some editing of the layout and currently the who's online function doesn't work.

Can you email a screenshot of it to me? I don't quite understand what you mean... And what web browser/version are you using?

It looks good to me in both Netscape 6 and IE 6 but I am at 1280x1024.

The IP Logged text shows up for people who aren't moderators/admins. I can see the IP address, in case I need to ban someone.

Yep, it's ok now.

Does that also work for people like me, who can change their IP at any time ?

( my server should give a false IP that I can manually change )

The version on my browser varies from 4.7 to 5.X depeding on the computer I use, the browser itself is alway Netscape.

From what I can see your first two numbers are the same, 62.21, and the second two change. That is normal for dialup internet since your provider only has a set number of IP addresses to give out and will give you whatever is available at the time.

Yep, only I have an 12 X 7 connection. And my posts of yesterday were posted from 2 or 3 different IP's, but I didn't logout between posting.

i know this has nothing to do with this, but you are not going to ban me like ex wants are you? i did nothing werong.

oh yeah and why did you take out everything but the smileys?sometimes color is vital for getting your point across.

I think the commands still work it just doesn't show them. Personally I find them annoying and since there is an option in this new version to remove them I turned it on.

And yes moving text is still removed. Since the tag for moving text isn't supported by Netscape I never really noticed it before. But then I logged into the board using IE once and foung it was being abused so I got rid of it.

The who is online option is still being made, the new code and stuff needs to be used to make it, or something like that.  *no good at technical talk*

The stars are another way of doing the rankings but I don't really like them. They still show up in IM because I haven't removed them yet. :)

Who's Online is broken at the moment since its an addon to the board but only works with the old version at the moment.

Ok the user rankings are now working again but have changed slightly:

Sand Flea (1 -> 24)

Desert Mongoose (25 -> 49)

Sword Master (50 -> 99)

Mentat (100 -> 149)

Naib (150 -> 249)

Duke (250 -> 499)

Emperor (500 -> 999)

Kwisatz Haderach (1000 +)
