They still ruled Caladan when they left. Just think about the Harkonnen. When they were the rulers of Dune they still controlled Giedi Prime and it's Solar system. Nothing changed only the head of the House moved to another planet for a while.

I'm sure they had people to do some of the regal work for them, but they still held the title. Think of it as the president of a country moving to another country to work with them for a little while.

they didnt give it to house corrin. Paul let Farn'd be the leader or something there becouse fran'd was failed Kwisadz Handerac, And paul felt as if he was sort of like a brother.... ::)

Actually, while the Atreides were tending to their Arrakis feif from 10,191 - 10,193, Count Fenrig ruled Caladan "in absentia".  It's in the "who's who" part of Dune (Almanak En-Sharaf?)

I don't care if Leto II had children, all people have fantasies you know, so if i decide to have a little imagination sometime, it has absolutley nothing to do with you Jacob, Alright!, I dont comment on you, so dont comment on me, and for your information I've read all 9 novels at least 5 times so i KNOW whats going alright!

Scotland...I doubt it.

Have a look at the 'Houses' section. It has a bit aout Scotland/Caladan. I see it as a maybe.....
