Any way to remove the leech effect from Harkonnen/Ordos units?

No they DON'T. Harkonnen units don't lose any speed (or RoF or anything else) after being hit. It says so in the Rules.txt

And the Rules don't lie.

I only said they lose speed after being shot, and not anything else. But i guarantee you a hark assault will lose speed after being shot, virtually all units are the same. Its only about losing heaps or a little.

No, they DO NOT lose speed. See the Rules.txt

In order for a unit to lose speed, it needs the following lines:

HitSlowDownAmount = x  // Percent (100 = complete stop)

HitSlowDownDuration = x // ticks

Where x is a positive number (in the first case, between 0 and 100). Harkonnen units don't have these lines, so the default value of 0 is used.

hahaha

Whutever, the rules.ini never lies. It's practicly the entire backbone of the game, besides the grafix and all. The default is always zero or FALSE if it does not contain a certain line. And with the line not being there, the slow down is zero percent. Rules controls the whole game, and if it's zero, then it's zero, you can't say other. I've played this game longer then you Dev. I got it atleast a month before it was released, so dont tell me how qualified you are or whutever.

Of course I can read the Rules.txt correctly. I'm a modder. :)

I used those lines a lot in KH. When I make new vehicles, I always give them a certain slowdown, depending of their House and their usefulness. For example, the Corrino Siege Tank only has a slowdown of 25%. So I know what I'm talking about.

Besides, it's also in the manual: The House advantage of House Harkonnen is that their units don't slow down when hit.

Thanks for bringing it ontopic again. ;)

Mostly I use the shoot-off. Unless there is an engineer nearby.

Unless with Atreides, then mostly the repair...

I usually just shoot them off. However if I have engineers handy, I'll get them to take the leech larvae off the units. Just be careful you don't use Laser Tanks to shoot leech larvae off shielded units... ;D

Mongoose do lots of damage to vehicles with few hits. If the Mongoose did not get rid of the leech larvae after the first or second shot, it would probably be helping the larvae to kill the unit. I use Snipers and Infantry when I'm Atreides. They do relatively little damage, and can remove leech larvae without hurting the infected vehicle that much. Mongoose just do too much damage for their shots.
