I'm really curious about this conversion. A shame seems that doesn't work on my pc (maybe because Windows XP). Maybe I will try in another pc or in my old Ubuntu, at least to play 1 or 2 games... this have the password system, Right?

Neat. What makes the SEGA version special? Apart from the slightly different graphics? :)

I played the game a lot time ago, but if I remember correctly, the gameplay changed a bit (much more faster to beat levels, since there wasn't any way to save in mid game). Harverster were the fastests units of the game (terrain only, don't remember the speed of the carryalls or thopters). The Barracks and wor were merged into a single building, the same with light and heavy factory.

If I remember, in level 4 you need to do an ugrade to build the rocket launcher (as the original game), but later in the level 5 the rocket launcher were already update, so you only need a new ugrade to the siege tank.

And, in the final mission, you only fight the emperor, but he could build devastators, sonic tanks and/or deviator depending of your house ( I think, not sure, but sure he builds those special units). Oh, and the fremen are hard to kill (They are the same as the trooper/s, but have like 10 times they health, I remember them surviving several direct hits for rocket turrets).

Also, the OST was interesting too.

I remember playing the SEGA version as a kid and it was pretty interesting considering it was an RTS on a console (these are rare). I actually liked the graphics. Speaking of graphics, how did you obtain them?

The music was okish to me. I played the full Atreides and Harkonnen campaign. After that I lost the interest to play again for Ordos.

Graphics was extracted from original rom. I was very exited when engine drew _old_ sprites in good quality and colorful

Game must works on Windows XP SP2 but i did a 64 bit version of game. Do you have only 32 bit PC? I can make a 32 bit build.  There is only password system.

The game is in early access and some staffs are absent.

Yes, my pc is 32 bit.
About the password system, I will assume the codes are the same. Is just in case I want to give a quick try to a advance level (with different units, enemies, carryalls...).

Thanks for all.

Dune SEGA Linux 32 bit: http://goo.gl/9BXTTS

Did some body try a Linux version? Write please.

Thanks man, it Works!

I played a bit one level, "Sonicblast". Is a bit weird the placing buildings method, but controling units with the mouse is really neat. Also, selecting multiple units. I placed a few buildings a build some units. Except for the harverster and the VCM (not able to select the first and unable to deploy the VCM) the game so far looks good.
