How do i upgrade the units?

Eh, a square is very small in Emperor. You can see it when placing buildings. I say more about 3-5 squares

Yes it will, it has the longest range, and can fire without being hit itself. And it can hit the line behind the front line if it is so nearby.

And even if it is shot, it can do enough damage to ruin you defense line

When an Inkvine comes, i'll rush a few unit towards it (according to how much is coming and what coming with it)

And then you are almost attacking. Then you must have a different form of defense.

Otherwise the Inkvines can fire some shots

I NEVER use kindjals on the battlefield. I only ever use them for defence, and i usually aim to get them as veterans and into the barracks. Only when I have an endless (almost) supply of kindjal veterans do I use them in an attack. As the Executrix would put it, 'It is much more efficient'. ;D

You're quite right. When I have elite soldiers, and can build them too, I send all my non-elite soldiers to the death (the enemy base). They are only a waste of room then... :)

No, as i have said, i use Minos or mongoose to replace it, but Sardaukars would be necessary if im versing Ordos.

Yeah, i always wonder about the sardukar elite. I mean, the got them big beefy laser guns, but for sum weird reason the barely damage infantry. (when i say barely i mean to very much) :O

It's not weird at all. The Laser weapon is an anti-vehicle weapon. Infantry aren't vehicles. Just like flame will slaughter infantry en masse, it will do virtually nothing to the armour of an Assault Tank. Lasers will slice nicely through Assault Tank armour and Minotauruses etc, etc, provided you manage the Laser Tanks properly (if you're going to use Sardauakar Elites, you won't have the same speed as the Laser Tank at your disposal). However Laser weapons (since they are anti-vehicle specialized) will do very little in infantry.

Yeah, he's right, all specialised weapons are ineffective against other types of unit.

But in real life infantry is much more effective than in the game.

It would have been nice if there were some blood stains on the ground after where the infantry were crushed, just like in Dune 2000. I was disappointed to see that the infantry just die and disappear when they're crushed.

Your right, that happens in every game, the destroyed unit just disappears..... so unrealistic.

Just make your sards close the range to the inf ... when they are close enough - they will use their knives on them.

Ya, but snipers and warriors are quite a problem (3hits to kill 1 Sard. Elite)

Btw, if someone gets 3 elite snipers, he can upgrade snipers too elite too, and elite snipers are very dangerous, man, their selfhealing goes quick!

Yes, but you'll rarely get one, even you could get one, just have a mino supporting the infantries.
