What, in your views are the best AT units to make a standard ground base assault on an enemy?

I think Minos with a few mongooses, and a sprinkling of infantry support.

Two Minos, 4 mongooses, a few snipers, a dozen kinjal and a few repair veichles.  That's my favorite small ground assault force.  A few waves of those groups will break through most defenses.

I just send wave after wave of minos at 'em until they crack. or, pressure 'em with thopters.

Man, you don`t have much choice assaulting with AT units only (this house handles 6 walking/crawling vehicles). Just mix`em all. However, most inexperienced players won`t defend from mass minotaurs.

Minos seem to be the consensus. They are easily the best against an AI (slowly and surely, thir defences are whittled away...), but obviously need support against aircraft and fast-moving units.

I sometimes hide a couple fremen next to the Minos, just for insurance. Also, when playing against AI, aload a Sardukar can take down any base, and their cheaper than Minos. ::) ::)

Any AI base, yes. Humans will always defend better, especially if they see the horde of Sardaukar approaching - and they are far easier to kill. (even en masse)

My favorite ground force is.....4 minos,some fremen,5-10 kindjal infantry(depends on how big the base is.)a horde of snipers,4 mongooses,7 iperial elite sardukers,and hordes of light infantry.That is a garunteed win :)

But ontopic:

For ground is the mino always useful. But Mongooses are quite fast and strong firepower and AA. But building mongooses costs building time, in what time you also could build mino's. Damn those mino-rushes. Still haven't a Atreides anti mino-rush...

mongooses can be pretty good.... and incredibly annoying when the computer uses it cuz the computer constantly sends small groups of units including mongooses to your base... and if accidently the mongoose walks under a carryall it fires at it though it's not even the computers intention to kill the carryall.. and when the mongoose is lucky it also kills a harvester with the carryall together

Yup.Once a group of mongooses were shooting at a carryall with a harvester on it,and when the carryall was destroyed,the harvester was still in the air! :oThat was a bug.
