sneezer3
3 feds shoting at once also its good to kill the mions while there heading towards your base. :) with guild NIBA tanks and such worms work about the best i'l IM you the rest someone is takeing notes on me..so i can't post all my strats ;D ;D
Sardauker-Kirov
Build two/three laser tanks and circle around the Mino so he can't hit, in no time the Mino will die by "shocking" laser ;)Even apc's can prove usefull against the Mino. Just keep them moving. For harkies. One assault tank takes care of a mino in 1 vs 1 Missile tank's kill them pretty nicely too. When the Missile tank encounters the mino try to move away from the projectiles he lob at you. :)
Chaos_Storm
Deviate the Mino. A Deviator is quite tough - it can stand a Missilte tank salvo. Just remember that you need to let it regenerate for ages afterwards due to its much higher max health and shields. The Mino is too slow to move out of the way of a Deviator rocket.PROVIDED THEY DON'T GET SHOT AT, lots of AA troopers/Sardaukar Elites can take down a single Mino quickly. You'll need a long distraction though and hope that a human player does not notice the infantry. Don't use this tactic unless you are desperate.2,3 NIAB tanks can take down 1 Mino in a single salvo. NIAB tanks can take a huge amount of punishment from Mino fire. With Laser tanks, be more careful with your movements as you will die quickly. Train up a small (6?) group of Laser tanks to gain veterancy to make it easier - especially when they get the range bonus.
Sardauker-Kirov
If you build too much, there is risk of a Greater Shai-hulud attack and the so called "movement humping" gets caused when 6 laser tanks move with each other. Some of them gets hit by the Projectiles. So its better to have two or three laser tanks.
ken124578
an effective way to manouvre with a lasertank: (mino) (lasertanks going <= way)when the mino shoots go south he wil hit VERY little, then return to finish the already damaged mino. Gunseng_Harkonnen
Laser is much faster and sometimes can take out mino almost without health lose. But even if, who cares, it has self-regeneration. Some Fremen Fedaykin kill mino preety fast. Or worms crush mino with those Fremen.
Sardauker-Kirov
Yes but there is still chance that the Mino will turn around quickly and finishes off the fedaykins. I just get annoyed by that when the Mino hits my laser tanks or Fedaykin.
ken124578
with my manouvre they only hit a small piece of the shield away which wil be regenerated in like 2 seconds.
sneezer3
with my manouvre they only hit a small piece of the shield away which wil be regenerated in like 2 seconds.Just be careful not to get it to close to the mion or it will lose speedand keep an eye out for snipers to hit it and slow it down. ::) ::)
Timenn
The speed of the laser tank won't help you if you go straight to the mino. But move like this: M<------------ L
Sardauker-Kirov
That is false. If you play against the com or against a player that doesn't predict your units movement. The mino can't hit when the laser tank approaches it. If it starts to fire from afar that is.I use the "circle around the mino" tactic ;)
Timenn
Hmm, I tried many times to approach a Mino, and each time the Mino got me. Even if the Laser Tank is optimal functioning and with veterancy.
ken124578
go like this:
ken124578
ps. also works if your facing a group of mino's, use the same tactic but don't tend to hang around long, and go under more and go closer to let al the mino's shoot (miss, hehehe)
Sardauker-Kirov
Better advice why don't you just move away from it completely? The mino misses everything and reloads, laser tank's moves back and shoots. And Ordos Executrix claims victory over the Eagles :P
ken124578
wait till he shoots or else... wel you know, the little damage dun to the shield is considered splash damage, this also works vs a group of minotaurs
Dante
Minos turn relatively slowly, I attack, / | Mino (facing my forces) / (Rock) | |__________________DeviatorAs you can see, the mino naturally heads for the main forces, just before it gets in range I deviate it, move it a bit further, then blast it to piece with whatever is nearby. ken124578
i see you underestimate the deviater's armor, only its shield has more armor then a lasertank's armor + it shield.it can resist 3 devastaters missiles without slowing down, it can resist an mino volley if moving (perhaps 2 volleys)
Timenn
But the deviator is the slowest hover unit. Watch out with that if you got used to the laser tank...
ken124578
but its still speedy enough to duck a full hit.
Timenn
Yes, but with a whole bunch of mino's it won't work.
ken124578
Yes, but with a whole bunch of mino's it won't work.an equel amount of deviaters and...ho mamma LET THE PARTY BEGIN! ;D 8)
Timenn
Yes, but deviators are slower build and cost more money. But how bigger the stack, the more mino's will get destroyed by the deviation...
Sardauker-Kirov
Doesn't the mino cost more then the Deviator?2 devia's vs 4 mino's, the Devia's will deviate two mino's and both mino's kills the enemy mino's.And if you use force fire you can kill the deviated mino or just use him as a slave by keeping a Devia in vicinity.
