White Powder Found At Two McCain Offices

I was waiting for this type of stuff to happen. Good for McCain campaign, and good for taking more rights away from Americans.

On another note I met an American who supports Bush the other day. Of course they are well off, so not much surprise I guess. I was a bit shocked that someone still supports Bush. I guess they are not on the terrorist watch list.

Possible anthrax letters? When I saw your caption I was thinking more along the lines of a certain south American productĀ  :D

What's hilarious is that Congress' approval ratings are even lower than Bush'

The Post Turtle

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old

Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate

while working cattle, the doctor struck up a

conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic

got around to Obama and his bid to be our President.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Obama is a

'post turtle'." Not being familiar with the term, the

doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was. The old

rancher said, "When you're driving down a country

road and you come across a fence post with a

turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'."

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's

face, so he continued to explain. "You know he

didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up

there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up

there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass

put him up there!."

Oh please. I could easily argue that she has more relevant experience than Obama, and he's trying to become president. Obama's been a a senator for only four years, of wich the last three he has spent preparing his presidential campaign.

Posted

How so? Being a mayor of a town with 6,000 people, thenĀ  Governor for 600 days of the 47th most populace state in the union. Yea that's more experience?

Besides she's rabidly pro oil, pro life, and pro evil.

Mccain was desperate as hell. It was hail marry play and she's going to get crushed by biden in the debate.

She has executive experience, even if mostly at a local level. Obama's career started in the Illnois state senate, wich is not quite the same thing. And I'm sure that Biden would agree that the position of vice-president lends itself better to "on the job training" (his words)

Pro-oil? You know she's exposed ethical scandals involving other republicans and oil, right?

Pro-life I won't argue; it's one of the things I don't like about republicans in general.

For the record, don't take any of this as an endorsement for republicans or even McCain specifically. I want politicians who emphasize both social and economic liberties. McCain is no good at the first, Obama is no good at the latter. However I do like McCain for speaking his mind even when it goes against the party line or against the latest polls. Still I'd be more likely to vote for Obama but I thoroughly despise the slavish fanaticism I've ran into on almost every place on the internet.

She has about as much experience as me or edric.

You're complaining about her lack of experience when she is only the #2?Ā  The Liberal #1 has NO experience, other than his speech from Hitler's podium pandering to the Europeans who have no vote in this country.

Mccain was desperate as hell. It was hail marry play and she's going to get crushed by biden in the debate.

Sounds like you libs are desperate as hell if you're playing the no exp card when it has Dohbama written all over it.Ā  And I'm sure Palin is real worried...Ā  Not as much as Dohbama will be when there is no teleprompter for him as McCain thrashes his ass.

Obama should be President. Every time I look at a picture of McCain I think: wow, so people really can get that old, maybe I should start saving some money like I am always told by the insurance guysĀ  ;D

Seriously, he should retire and live a peaceful quiet life somewhere. The one big thing I hate most about politics (no matter which country) is the age of the politicans. I think 30 year old people should run a country, the older one don't actually care about anything really because they will be dead when the consequences of their false decisions arrive.

executive experience in a state the size of my city? Sorry, but she has a total lack of understanding of foreign policy. 600 days isn't long enough at all for that.

Libs? Don't dare call me that, you think I'm that right wing? Silly, I'm a socialist, or a social democrat depending on how you look at the issues.

Vote John McCain for more of the same. Wait for him to whip out the POW card at least a dozen times in the debates, Hell my dad's a Vietnam vet(1st ID, 20th ID(I think)) He was a grunt in the bush of vietnam. He has 100% disability from the VA for PTSD, and he was only there for a year. You think a guy in a NVA prison isn't fucked up in the head mentally? Well even though they did give him medical care and pander to him because he's a admirals son and wrote a confession to be a American pig dog. I sure as hell Don't want another neo con in office.

And the attacks and scandals have started.

Sarah Palin Is NOT The Mother

So she might not be the mother of her newest son. They predict it is her oldest daughters.

Even if this is not true, what is true is that her water broke before she gave a speech in Dallas, Texas. She did the speech then flew back to Alaska to have the baby.

Umm, I'm pretty sure if you are pregnant with an 8 month old baby and your water breaks you should go to the hospital, not give a speech and get on a plane for 8 hours, then drive 50 miles to get to a hospital.

John McCain met running mate Sarah Palin just once

EDIT:

Audio tape of Palin staff member pressuring someone.

'Troopergate' inquiry hangs over campaign

Monegan claims his refusal to fire Wooten was a major reason that Palin dismissed him. Wooten had been suspended for five days previously, based largely on complaints that Palin's family had initiated before Palin was governor.

Great video. There is no way this will work for her.

Basically playing the Alberta Gonzales defense of "I don't recall".

Ex, you continue to bash Palin on lack of experience but have yet to give a reason why Obama and his lack of experience is any better.Ā  Hell, what experience did Kerry have? Carter? Bush? Reagan? Kennedy? What experience is enough? Palin is a very smart woman. She will learn the ropes faster than Dohbama would. And she is in the VP spot... perfect place to get OJT. Not like being in the President spot. She is running for the #2 spot NOT #1, BIG difference.

I'm a socialist

That explains a lot.Ā

I sure as hell don't want Dohbama, a Marxist, leftist, baby killer that has no respect for the constitution, to get the keys to the country. And if McCain were to keel over, so be it. I would rather have a woman who supports babies, guns, and Jesus in office than what stupid Democrats are offering. Gay marriage, higher taxes, government control, and appeasement of the so called, "freedom fighters". Thats PC talk for Islamic extremist terrorist. No phucking thanks, I'll pass.

I'm getting rather annoyed at all this talk about "experience." It's hard enough to get anywhere near the US presidency already. We don't need to make it even more difficult by asking people to spend years or decades in various executive or legislative offices before they're considered worthy enough for the presidency. I'd rather not have a ruling caste of philosopher-kings, thank you very much.

We need more political mobility, not less. If someone reaches the presidency quickly from humble beginnings, that's a good thing.

...other than his speech from Hitler's podium pandering to the Europeans who have no vote in this country.

Actually it was Reagan's podium, where he made his "Tear down this wall" speech. But if you want to compare Reagan with Hitler, far be it from me to complain. ;)

That explains a lot.

Does it really? Perhaps you'd care to explain what you think socialism is and why you object to it, then. I'm always up for a debate.

I sure as hell don't want Dohbama, a Marxist, leftist...

Oh for God's sake, do you even know what Marxism is? I'm a Marxist. Obama is a wishy-washy liberal twat. He might be a leftist, depending on your definition of "leftist," but I wouldn't bet on it.

...baby killer...

Yeah, it's such a good thing that when the Republicans controlled the House, the Senate, and the Presidency, they spent their time fighting abortion!

Oh, wait...

...that has no respect for the constitution.

You mean like most American presidents since Andrew Jackson?

Not that there's anything particularly wrong with "disrespecting the constitution." Anyone who ever supported an amendment was "disrespecting the constitution," since they believed that the constitution was wrong in some way and needed to be changed. Like abolishing slavery, for example.

And if McCain were to keel over, so be it. I would rather have a woman who supports babies, guns, and Jesus in office than what stupid Democrats are offering.

I wasn't aware that you can support guns and Jesus at the same time. Or babies and oil drilling, for that matter, since the oil drilling is going to screw up the world in which those babies are going to have to live.

That's not quite true; the Democrats and the Republicans in general are not mirror images of each other - the Democrats tend to be more centrist on all things, while the Republicans tend to be extreme in both their social conservatism and their ultra-capitalism.

By the way - regarding your support for liberalism (I refuse to call it "social and economic liberties," as I firmly believe that capitalism destroys all the liberties that matter) - is it based on axiomatic principles or utilitarian concerns? In other words, do you think liberalism is good in and of itself, or do you believe it promotes some other, higher purpose?

Edric, your like a professional debater so no point in me trying.Ā Your beliefs are far different then mine is all I got to say.

Heh, I wish I were a professional debater, but I'm not spontaneous enough - it usually takes me a few minutes to formulate a really good counter-argument. That's not a problem on a forum or anywhere that arguments are written down, but in a live debate it doesn't work so well.

Anyway, it's not as if I want to convince you to become a communist - when was the last time someone's political opinions were radically changed as a result of a single debate? But I would like it if you understood our side, so that you wouldn't do things like calling Obama a Marxist (that's about as random as calling Bush a monarchist).
