Very short notice, but I will be in Amsterdam this weekend.  Any of our Dutch members live there?

One thing I notice about Amsterdam in google earth is all the little rivers there are. Does each house have a boat or dock? Is taking a boat to work feasible? :)

I'm not Dutch, but I want to visit Amsterdam, I always have. I've been all over Europe, but not there. Man what a vacation that would be. But....by myself haha. I want to see the red light district, the famous Cafe I believe called The Bulldog. If I go I'm going all out baby.  :P

I live very close to Amsterdam, but not in it.

Andrew, barely any house has a dock or a boat. It's also much faster to take the bike to work rather than a boat. Though I used to have a teacher who did use the boat sometimes...

Forgot to respond to the topic.  It was a lads' weekend, so we spent most of it going to different bars and clubs.  One name that I do remember is Cafe Nasty, which actually wasn't that bad, and was in one of the squares.  We spent a lot of time in the city centre as well, got some good pictures.  Clubs over there are much more fun than the ones here, but then again Amsterdam is a lot bigger than my city.
