good mouse but it doesn't fit my hand very well. I had the mx510 and mx518 which have the same shape/chassis and my hand is just a bit too big for it to fit comfortably. still... good buy, it's a very good mouse.

by the way: I got my 2,5" hdd and it is awesome. tiny, nice black aluminum look, lightweight, very good transfer rate. I'm really happy with it. now I just need to find a solution for my pc "problems"  :-

I keep waiting for a new pc case so I can change some things with my hardware:

1. gaming pc: new case (not available yet), new mainboard, new cpu cooler (the one I'm using right now is great but doesn't fit into the new case), new videocard

2. office/poker pc: everything new because this pc doesn't exist right now... also waiting for the same case

Anyone have any experience using Logitech MX Revolution Mouse

It is on sale pretty cheap (compared to any other Canadian online stores) right now.

My friend has one and likes it. Not sure if it will fit my hands that well. I have small hands :P

Looking for a new mouse that would most likely be one of those logitech ones with the thumb buttons.

Are the wireless mice heavy or difficult to move? Or are they easy since there is no cord to get in the way?

My desk has 6 inch wide(horizontal) and 8 inch long(vertical) area for my mouse which is on my mouse pad.

personally I don't like that mouse. it's a good one though. it just doesn't fit my hands as goog as the mx 1000. also the second wheel on the left side is really annoying and there is no good use for it as well 8just swithcing programs, not scrolling from left to tight like one would think).

I bought the Logitech Performance Laser Mouse (MX400) I mentioned in the post above. I am definitely impressed since I have only used default mice that come with computers this is the first one I have bought. And at $15 I don't think it is possible to complain about much :P

I also bought 8cm Dual Ball Bearing PC Case Cooling Fan w/Internal Power Connectors

to see if I can prevent my computer from overheating. It is extremely loud, so I doubt I will be using it until next summer when I actually need it. I still need to test some games to see if it actually decreases the temperature.

My computer has a motherboard connect so it could use the TX3 connector. But I don't think my motherboard can control the speed to reduce the noise. There are no options in my BIOS to set the speed for fans.

My friend told me about the TX3 connector into the mainboard, and I have one free. But I am not able to control the speed of any of my other fans (one on side and one in power supply thing) so I'm not sure if using that kind of power source would regulate the speed so it is not as fast (loud).

I attached my computer info from pc wizard.

Kingston 4GB DataTraveler Pocket USB Drive $34.99

I bought the 2 gb version of same name brand this spring for about the same price (currently it is not on sale and is retail $77 :O ). Very handy to have these to backup data. My old 256mb usb stick is getting too small. I still have data backed up on my 2gb version from when I formatted computer.

EDIT:

Wow they dropped the price again by $5. Getting it today.

Edit for Andrew, the product link. :)

For now it's a nice gadget, only haven't tried the VoIP features which I will test after I come back from my vacation next week.

Any link to the product?

Be careful of monitors. It seems that are now mostly using cheap panels.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD

I heard someone had to spend $500 for a monitor to get good quality.

So those $200 monitors might not suit your needs even though they are big and cheap.

I was just told about this, so I have no personal knowledge about it.

Although it might have to do more with professional needs.

Yeah, heard and read about that too. The same story was there for the Samsung monitors, but haven't noticed any issues with my monitor, neither have the friends of me that bought the same monitor.

you can't play crysis on very high, 16af, 4aa and max resolution though... currently no videocard can run it with these settings smoothly... hopefully the next generation of videocards is coming soon. instead of launching a 8800gt and a new 8800gts and maybe some gx2 crap in january they should launch the 9th generation this winter...  :'(

I looked up my monitor to see if I have the cheap panel, and it seems I do according to the manufacturers specification it says "Panel: TN"

I don't notice anything bad with it. I'm surprised I havn't gotten any dead or bad pixels yet. Would be nice to see what the better quality panels look like. Although for the price might not be worth getting since I'm not a graphic professional (and choices would be limited).

Still definitely something to look for when shopping. Of course big box stores don't say what panel they use, so you have to go to manufacturers website. >:(

I thought I would post about this board for anyone that may seem to run across it and think it's a decent little board....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131069 DO NOT get it and think you can use a PCI_Ex 16 vid card...period. You will get massive frame rate drops from 80 fps to somewere around 3. I have racked my brain with his little piece of crap and finally find out today in the Asus Forum on the issue I'm having with it now. Don't get me wrong, Asus has great products, this however is the worst of them I have ever come across.

Here's the exact problem I'm having as the other poor people on this thread...http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20070430020600530&board_id=1&model=A8V-VM%20SE&page=1&count=36

The board might be ok if someone is using the onboard graphics, but stick a vid card in it and it is a total mess...doese'nt matter what you try to adjust it's not going to play games smooth at all.

I didn't buy this board as a MAIN board but only as a backup one...it will be going back today...possibly in little chunks. Just a heads up for anyone that may think it's worth a shit.

Does anyone know if Jetway or Foxxconn are any good, motherboard wise I mean. I found a few mboards that seem close to the Asus A8N-E that I had for a 939. For some reason the A8N-E is a no-find. It was the most overclockable and reliable board I've ever had. I mean it took my Venice 3400+ that ran at stock 2200 up to damn near 3000 stable, and cool.

Well after doing some searching, I ran across a few with the Nforce 4 chipsets...so this is what I'm gonna get......http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186037 rather older by todays standards, but it should do my new 7600 GT justice as it has no onboard shit. Also a rather cheap price for it I thought. But then again I've n ever used a Foxconn mboard. I just couldn't get over the price of it. I love the Nforce4 boards vs. VIA chipsets. At any rate I have 30 days to decide if it's worth a damn. And it's got to be better than the Asus A8V-VM SE.
