Especially chilling is the fact that they're allowed to kill extremists - and now, people who speak out or "slander" the President, are extremists. I'm quite shook up by this, seeing as how I live in Latvia, a former Soviet republic. What next? The invasion of the Baltic states and others to "protect" the ethnic Russians there? Bullshit.

Do you remember any time when the Russian head of state was not able to do whatever he wanted regardless of the wishes of the Russian parliament? I don't... After all, Russia is not and never was a democracy (though it came close a few times).

No evidence the Russian Government had anything to do with it, but of course, the BBC would LOVE you to think that they did...

Makes me sick.

Besides, the Kremlin isn't the only institution in Russia capable of pulling something like this off.
