Main page almost has 2 million hits.

Shall we start taking bets as to when it does hit 2 million?

The Contest from May 18, 2002, about the 1 million hit.

Don't say yours out loud until we figure some secret way to do it. :D

EDIT:

Should also take bets when Acriku- makes 10,000 posts.

What I meant was one person has too much (complete, in this case) control over the event, so can manipulate it.

The main page hit is not so controllable, so that is better (as in less-rig-able).

They are spamming, I was making a point, and have now sensibly followed up on that. Its not as easy to do when many people are involved, for obvious reasons.

But as long as the guesses are kept secret, and assuming Acriku doesn't want it rigged (ie he doesn't listen to anyone who gives him their date) it should go good.

Yeah I meant that it was too late since I know about it now.

As for the main page, my guess would be November 23, 2006 1432 hours EST  :P
