No, not really. But I like it more than the prequels because it doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't. The letters are interesting as well.

I just finished reading the spiceworld (alt Dune, or rather Dune V1.0). Borrowed it from the Uni library. It was an interesting read, seeing how Dune first was, and how it evolved (the novel, not the planet :P).

I skimmed through one of the bits that didn't make it, and it really seemed off compared to Dune and Spiceworld, but maybe I just picked the off one to skim.

I liked the intro by Ransom as well, so much that I just mentioned it.

My library is getting it at the end of the month. The "lost" chapters seemed interesting when I skimmed through the book in the bookstore.

got it liked it, read it all

spice planet was fun, If you are die-hard dune fan you can see the characters that are going te be in DUNE.

The extra chapters are fun to,  they give you a little more insight into the world of FH
