What font to use?

Here you go, a poll.

I have 2 pictures in this post, one containing a simple system font, one with the (default) bene gesserit font.

Since i read some 'complains' about readability by the bene gesserit font i ask you to download both of the pictures and judge what looks best, and what reads best. Based upon that, vote for either:

Despite my qualms regarding the Bene Gesserit font, the system font looks terrible. I would suggest increasing the size of the Bene Gesserit font though.

BG Font looks much much better. Gives the "real feel" of Dune 2...

Yeah, but as I've indicated somewhere, the size makes this font difficult to read. You need to take a closer look just to make sure what you're reading is right.

I don't know, also do mind that the game is in fullscreen normally, so its probably a lot easier to read then too. In windowed mode its a bit more tough, though its readable. I tried the game font, but that just looked odd so its not an option ;)

Maybe the system font could be a font size bigger?

Maybe this can help. Pre-antialiased fonts.

One font is for the ingame status bar (where prices now appear)

One font is for the mentat page, where the BG and system fonts are currently competing, and one font is for general use and the intro.

The BG font looks much more Dune 2 than the System font (looks more like a cyberpunk game). I think you should use the BG one.

One thing that the Dune II font had was a black outline. I don't know if that would help in this case, I'm just pointing it out. (but I like the BG font better).

yes, thats the difference, the outline. I don't know if i can do that... i can't just add a font by using the bitmaps there, as i am using real FON files. (i also read it should be possible to use truetype)

If you involve the Fremen, use the Papyrus font for them.
