Dune total conversion mod for c&c Generals

(Hope I'm posting this on the right board?)

I want to announce a Dune modification for c&c generals, It will be based on E:BDF, D2K and the miniseries, I will be adding the houses harkonnen and atreides, subhouses sandworms, sandstorms, a single player campaign, ect.

just finished another model... and yea, i wanted it to be a little beefier then the one from emperor :)

Are you going to make your own textures, or do you use (+modify) the ones used in Emperor?

We'll be making our own textures, although we gotta find someone who can make them first (I kinda suck at using photoshop)

Actually, I recommend Jasc Paintshop Pro for drawing textures. Photoshop is great for modifying images, but it lacks somewhat with the basic drawing tools.

(The combination of those 2 works the best)

Is this an E:BFD clone for a program that eats memory like popcorn called C&C Generals?

C&C Generals doesn't eat memory. It's just that games nowadays used more memory than they did in the stone age (E.G Emperor).

Well, 524MB RAM isn't getting me anywhere.

He is probably using one 512MB chip, one 8MB chip, and one 4MB chip.

It's 512, but it's never precise. It adds up to 524 on the startup screen?

Oh wait, does 1000kb=1Mb?

I would have liked the Dune2k units.... not the EBFD ones, though cartain units were extremely effective in EBFD: Minotaurus, Missle Launcher.

I hope to see new technology, seriously. If you're making a Dune mod for c&c Generals, do not base it on Emperor. I might as well play Emperor you know.

This project looks very cool :) Continiue the good work. Maybe the Generals engine can be made useful for something now (hated the original game)
