in multiplayer when i play dune as harkonnen i can train sardaukars... what is so special about them that makes them different from normal infantry?

Like Gob said way more powerful. They are effective against infantry and veichles. Also they minorly damage whatever sqishes them.

Yeah the Sardaukar is more armored, more powerful, but more expensive (not that much though). It is mostly used for defense, however it never hurts to include sardaukar in your attack force.

Or a sardakar rush if the enemy doesn't have siege tanks.

Can you use Sarduakar w/ the Harkonnen in 1-player? If you can, you shouldn't be able to. The story-line would get all messed up if you can (what would the Emperor's special unit be in that case?)

damn why do people worry about the damn story line.. i am getting sick and tired of that... who actually cares about the story line... i mean dont you play dune to play the game becasue it is fun or do u play to try to find something wrong with the storyline?? thats just my oppinion on that... sorry if i sounded mean..

It causes confusion when you tell people about Dune from a game point of view when they might be talking about the book point of view.
