  i was playing with eslpick  when he complained to me saying. hey damn i have 3 harckonan  factoryes just like you and you make 5 buzez while i made 3 buzez      (him,he made 3)  then i was like , comon esl you are just complaining because you lost.but the guy was so sure  that he was counting the buzez. well after that i dicided to see in his clam. i made 3 factoreys.  and i tryed to see if they make the same amount eatch min.  the production was the same i didnt see anything deffrent.i was about to think eslpick is maybe having too mutch beer that he see 2 buzez 5.

just when i was about to leave  i swtiched the production to a sub factory and there the disaster happend.eatch time a buzz is going out the factory poses and gives a ready sing . this sing will last 2 sec. about the time to relase another buzz.

its just 2 times slower maybe more than the mother factory. i was testing me and doompower yesterday he made 10 buzez in 43  secound from main fac and it took the sub factory  106 secound to make the same amount.did anyone knows that  befor? it can make big deffrence if u make ure base from back to front or switch production to ure alley factory in fast games it means  confirmed loosing

well its not a bug... it wont go awy.its just the sub buldings are not as strong as the main bulding as simple as that.  if you want to make it go awy you can return production to the main factory

I have notice that the FIRST unit I produce after changing factories has had a delay. It's highlighted showing complete, but doesn't come out for a couple seconds. That is only with the first unit however. I haven't noticed a delay with all units when I change.

I have noticed that and wondered why that happens. It happens usually later in the game, I noticed (probably because thats when I would have sub facs - if you are right). It is also what happens if you queue too many units without setting a waypoint, as it takes a few seconds for the units infront of the building (inf included) to move.

Was that definately not the cause ? A lot of units in front of the factory ? If it isnt the cause, then well done, you have spotted something others have not spotted or made public (bet there will be at least one who will say he knew that but didnt want to tell so as to use it for himself only).

no des it wont happen only with the first unit it will happen with all the units.it will say ready after evry single unit it maks and pose for 2 sec.

and no erj the crouded fac door is not the reason,. just take 5 min and test it on skermish. make 3 fac put waypoint far from the bulding and see it will happen with every unit evry time starting from the first unit from the sub buldings. olso not only the fac all the other buldings

  bar,sard,  all buldings  and i wanted to make a test on it on line befor i post somthing isnt correct so i test it with doom like i told you above.

so be carfull evrey one if u make new bases near enmy or trying to help alley base

if you produce from sub bulding you will have half or less units than your enemy can using main base

yeah, i have notice it a long time ago, i remember that i was talking with apo about it. but spicy, it do not happen all the time. i have test it. its more like nunu said, it happens sometimes in later games. its not the building limit, but maybe something like that.

man we all have the same copy of the game . maybe you didnt have the time to make a real test. just go to single player put it on eazy make 3 fac  change to sub

it will happen every time all the time, it will take you 5 min befor you post

make the test then tell me the resolt

i mean i have test it with others players my case is not deffrent

doom put a stop watch and made 10 buzez in 40 sec from main fac

                                10 buzez in 106 sec from sub fac

just like i said befor

i have played thousands of games over the course of 4 years... i am always looking at my build list as it builds and i have siwtched to secondary and even tertiary buildings during the course of a game to have units coming out of diff places.

I have never had it happen "every time"  I have maybe seen it happen a few times but not enough to warrant a thread in the forums over it.

However if you insist it is a big deal then i will look into it but i highly doubt it.  It could be a problem with your graphics card not being able to render units fast enough.  This is possible since you have a horrible computer.

Perhaps better performing computers notice this less.

ok , i insist. doom have good pc. why dont you read haw he made it with stop watch?? maybe it wont happen the first time you swtich just switch another time or to other fac once  it start it will keep  going thats what happend to esl

cant u read spicy? I HAVE MADE THE TEST. and it didnt happen to me yesterday! so ur solution is not the final solution....search more for the reason!

now read this: yes kalony please do the test like i said.not all the time it happen from the first time . try to switch the factoryes more than 1 time  then it will surly  surly start and if it did it wont stop. and that you say . i will ask doom to say wot happend i think he didnt read here yet.

well in this case it was indeed with ALL units. It should only happen with the first (few?) units that come out, but yesterday it was with all units. Lookin at spicy's crappy pc i timed that it took 42.6 secs or something near that figure to make 10 buzz out of fac1. Then i switched to secondary and made 10 buzz again. This time it took me 1:06 to make them. EACH unit had a 'ready' delay. Weird.. isnt it

Yea it is strange, I did a bunch of tests, what I did was refinery, fact, 2 harvs, fact, fact. Then I made 10 buzz from first fact-no pause, from second fact-slight pause, third fact-big pause. I tried everything upgrading, making 3 conns, still had the same effect. Then I tried it with bar. making 3 and doing the same, same results but because inf come out faster  you don't notice it as much but they pause(ready) as well. I think the reason we haven't really payed this that much attention is that we are too busy fighting, but it is a strange production (bug?). So, long story short, if making 3 fact, then the main one will produce fastest and without pausing. That's what I found anyway after about 10 or so tests.

Another level of strategy in the game now ? Do you build near your ally to help him while hurting your production, or do you walk accross the map ? What happens when you sell fac1 while producing from fact3, does fac3 speed up or are you forever doomed to slow production ? (then ppl would target everyone elses fac1 !

I have noticed this has happened to me on a few occasions.  Dunno what I did that made it go away.

I would be willing to bet what you did to fix it Jeff was to resume production from the main or 1st fact.

  well . allwayes one of the 3 bulidings will work as the main fac in normal way. even if you sell or get hit you sould  test all 3 or 2 remaining fac

to see which one of them is in  charge .switching to ally base?? i dont think its good idea speacialy if you are ordos making dustys  lol  i mean making  kobras from main fac will be faster . you can allwayes put the 1 fac haw ever into alley  base. but then again it will effect some players who usaly put a base near enmy base to march slow units at it . or  unawear players who usaly make the base from back to front or change the fac exsit for trafic manegment. guys dont ever do that......

Here's a tip.... build more windtraps. Low power = slow production time. That would more than explain why his 3 facs made 5 buzz and the other guys only made 3.

your right, what was I thinking..... next time I decide to come out of the world of Vana'deil and ride some worms I will have to remind myself that I don't need wind traps, they have no effect on the power supply and are just a waste of money.
