Worm Kills on AI Harvesters

What is your personal record for watching worms eat enem harvesters in one feast.

My personal record is 4 AI harvesters by 1 worm in a space of about 30 seconds, almost got a fifth but it narrowly escaped thanks to its carryall. Great fun to watch!  :D

I never really looked at the AI's harvesters.

I lost about 8 in 1,5 to 2 minutes myself ones, can tell you that isn't funny  >:(

You know what really kicks me, at the very start of a game getting my only harvester eaten AND i was using 2 thumpers to keep it away, so i had to restart :'(

I know how that feels. I am also one of the persones who never get's a spare harvester.

Because it takes a very loooong time before you get a new one. So my experience...

About the worms. Though that they dissappeared after 3 snacks??

Practice with worms on "high". There where 2 or 3 worms, all going towards my harvesters.

Nice. Its so much easier to avoid the worns when u've got an otpost though. The EVA only says "Worm Sign" When the worm is on the screen. A bit l8 when its right next to u're harvester.

Yep, but they trick you you know ;D

Usually they pass by your harvesters without eating them, so you're used to thet white dot next to your harvesters. Then when you are focussing your attention on another part of the map, all of a sudden it hits you . . . . . .  . . "worm attack !"

Something odd and a bit tricky I've done once or twice (not really profitable to do regularly), build a trike and let it distract the worms that's wanting to eat you harvestors.  You won't have time to play around running away from the little bugger in the middle of a fight, but during troop buildup it works magic.  I think worms are probably your worst enemy in Dune 2000 because they're so frigging annoying...

I find if u move u're harvesters on to rock and keep them still. After a while they go away and annoy the AI harvesters instead.

But you miss much solaris then, for all that time they couldn't harvest...

At least at some point u can still harvest and it doesn't cost u 1500 for a new harvester. And the worms hang around by the AI bases generally for the rest of the game. Pestering their income.

Hmm, a full load is worth 700, you need only 2 (ok some more) full harvesters to repay that one that was swallowed...

but u lose the spice that harvester had, if u haven't got a starport or heavy factory u're buggered ande in the time taken to build or for one to get delivered, the worm would have been on his way elsewhere ne way.

In early part of the game,thre are zillions of worms!Later....not even a dead worm can be found! ;D

Worms eating harvesters? don't remember me... Once, in the Atreides mission where you start with 2 bases, I had about 8 harvesters... Started a massive attack on Harkonnen... Nearly succeeded... But heared ''worm attack' quite a lot... I thought some troopers or something like troopers were eaten, but when i came back, I had no money, and all my harvesters were eaten :( Sold turrets to get enough money... and was destroyed by a small hark raid  :'( :'(

Worms are weak against missles.Kill worms by using troopers! ;D

Deploy a thumper in the AI's spice field.  It'll crush your thumper with one of it's harvs. lolol ;) ;)

What?  It's true.  At least it does for me.  Do I have the only version of the game where worms actually go to thumpers and stay there? ??? ???
