garth Posted January 10, 2002 Share Posted January 10, 2002 I believe House Corrino was a family of powerful Sardaukar on Salusa Secundus that eventually decided to flex their muscles during the waning years of the Butlerian Jihad and secure their (rightful) position in the universe.The Battle of Corrin was the final conflict that settled the ascendancy of House Corrino to the throne, it was mentioned in the original Dune. It took place in 88 BG (Butlerian Jihad ended in 120 BG), so no interstellar space travel to speak of. The battle took place near the planet Corrin, in the Sigma Draconis system (Same as the Ordos Homeworld). This battle also started the feud between the Atreides and Harkonnens.
