Two ago a special edition of David Lynch's Dune was released in Poland.

Last year a special edition was released in England.

Finally, it is North America's turn.

On May 10 Universal Home Video will be releasing a region one special edition of the cult classic film.

With a retail price of $19.59 at Amazon.com ($24.30 on amazon.ca for us Canucks, where it is also the 46th best selling DVD) this set contains both the original theatrical release and the extended Allen Smithee version, along with a large number of special features listed here.

Or, you could always just wait for the HD-DVD version coming out in a little while.

I to want it! why do those dvd's never releas in Holland?

Takes them years to releas here, and then when they do, you guys always have something new to talk about...

but I'm going to get it somehow.

Well, it says new extras. But considering it is hollywood, i fear they just mean the extras from:

What about the hd-dvd, any info on that relase? all i know right now is that it is coming

I am interested only if David Lynch is involved as much as Francis Ford Coppola was involved in the extended version of "Apocalypse Now".

Otherwise i consider the theatrical version too much cult to be bloated with "extras".
