is it just me and the 6 ppl that have tried to play a game tongiht .

were all locking,

i played  3 games earlier today no problem but now its a DOA when u hit play

any feed back>?

...and they have that "DOA" in the Friends title song too, and I dont get it there either  ;D

I guess it means not happening, somehow ?

Sorry I cant help too much on the problem, but I havent been online for a little while.

Yeah, me, whistler, and crysknife tried to get on last night, and every time I launched a game it would go to the connection screen, and lock up. What was really strange was that when it locked up I could not escape by the normal means, (hit escape, or hit the windows key then Ctrl - alt-del- then end process on game. exe) I had to power down the machine then re-boot. we tried to launch a game on ORDS with frostworm, (thinking it was one of our 'Puters), but could not get the game to launch with him either.

I had the same problem couple of times on thursday - didn't try since then.

The game goes to the connecting screen and keeps saying "connecting" but nothing happens. I got back by the "ESC" button every time. One time it was very strange: as I hit ESC, the game launched but there was only me on the map (there should have been 5 other players) and as I scouted the map I found a MVC in one corner of the map which obviously belonged to another player who wasn't there, because the MVC did nothing and he hadn't built anything...

Anyway... I can't connect to the games and dunno why.

Guys bad news.

Its happening at WoL to. each time i press accept when im hosting a game the connection freezes and cannot move the mouse or press escape to retreat to the lobby.

does this problem have any connection with both servers? ???

Yea this happened 6 times yesterday after a bunch of successful games.  I did notice for me that when the game freezes the music is still playing nomally.  I could alt-tab outa it then end emp from there no problems but I just can't play. :'(

The last game result posted was on 2004-11-06 17:43:46, between jcdeleon1 and jeff2429. Lets blame them two !  :P

Actually scar, dav and 2 other guys finished a game after me n jc.  Lets blame erjin for being to stupid to fix the problem on his own.

wow all this time i've been gone and xwis is still flaky. lol. works sometimes and doesn't work other times. lol.  don't get me wrong it's better than nothing.  And i think it's awesome that you guys are still trying to keep this good old game alive.  8)

Actually, Jeffmeister, I think the other game was finished after you, but for some reason better known to The Mighty Gob, it shows up before your game. Check the "finished" time on it.  ;D But it's more fun to blame you....and JC too, of course, I would 'nt pick on you alone.

Wow ! Its happened. Its gone one above 111 (112  ;)). It was sadian & planetvek. There are 3 people online now, manio7, mudassar & sadian, probably playing. Can you confirm its working now guys ?

Last night whistler, kal, desertway, and I tried to get a game going, but no luck.  So it is still messed up. I am going to make a post on the XWIS help boards, maybe olaf doesn't know about the problem with Emp.

We have normality, I repeat we have normality, anything u still can't cope with is therefore ur own problem coz xwis is up and RUNNING AGAIN. ;)
