Ors Sever problems

There seems to be a connection prob with ords server i can loggin no problem but then can't connect to players for a game!! continually fails or freeze up total. Any idea? :-

seems u can only do 1vs1 now and then half the time it fails.

Everytime we attract back more players we seem to encounter server problems so everyone goes off again, shame really things were just getting good too. >:( :'( :- :O

Does anyone know who has a copy of the server code?  I run an ISP and I can put a server online and make sure it's up all the time.  I also do programming and I'd like to tinker with some things to add some cool features.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Olaff or anyone else who has the code, please let me know.

Well If you like tinkering with the game, or to just improve the community, you should check out the Dune Editing board also.

Well the game is fine if we just get a dedicated server that will be up n running 24/7. But that sounds great RA if you could do that  8)

hey ra.....when u wanna make a server running....we need to ask olaf.....or darnnoobs, he has a copy of that script from olaf, but i think darnnoobs is in the hollodays somewhere

I'm actually interested in tinkering with the server and not the game itself.  If anyone hears from Olaff or Darnnoobs, let them know I'd like to try to set one up here.

one server for us all to use all the time sound great but xwis was doing a good job up to the recent probs. ;)

Noobs/ords is on holiday until the weekend. So we will have no luck there.

Xwis=DOS attacks (nice (!))

WOL= Max 4 player (nice(!))

Ords/noobs = Messed up !

We are not having a good time here. Olaf and ords/noobs would be the two poeple you could get the code from, RA, but I bet Olaf would have put some conditions on Ords.Noobs taking that code from him, in fact I bet it is a server (the software) and not the source code. So that means Ords/noobs could not let you tinker with it even if he wanted to.

You only bet for that would be to ask Mr Olaf politly...and I don't think, myself, he would give it as source code.

Maybe noobs/ords can restart his host from where ever he is on holiday. I will ask him about that when I next speak to him...
