well scar and i built on every rock.... in a 1 vs 1 .... and we made thousands and thousands of units....

and we hit the unit/build cap.....

you cannot make anymore units and you cannot place anymore buildings... and superweapons wont even fire !!!!!

You say it has never happened to you dunenewt?..... well just get a few friends to do nothing but build build build on fishers plains... build on all teh rocks ... fill them up and then just make as many units as you can without killing them.

You will eventually hit the cap like everyone else.

It exists trust us.

But buildings dont

Now you're arguing the toss. Buildings are as likely to have a cap as units are. You could eadily set a combined total of the two to be limited.

Just out of interest, I've hit both a building and unit cap while playing on my 'Boiler' and 'Choke Points' maps that I created. I found that the AI creating heavy wall complexes around their bases sped up the process of hitting the limit on buildings. Eventually, I reached a stage where I could build a building, but when I went to place it, nothing happened.

I'm not sure whether the unit and building limits are directly related, but I do know that they exist.

I belive the two are linked in someway i seem to remember after getting some units killed i was then able to put down a building that until then id been unable to place.
