That is just biased and stupid we all know that executing hackers will not solve the problem. The real solution to the problem would be to quit purchasing Micro$oft products that are faulty in the first place, Micro$oft security patches have security patches.

I think it would make more sense to just execute stupid people, i.e., the author and his subjects, if we're going to start randomly killing everyone who irritates us.

Any sentense with :P at the end is ment to antagonise the intended target. Anyway the one group I have a problem with in the computer underground are the Virus writers those are the @$$holes that can cause the most trouble.

This is soooo stupid, how can a human life be compared to a piece of 0101010101?????? Computer vandalism? Is it that hard to reinstall everything? The author of this text is a computer freak or a pure capitalist. Comparing human life with pieces of inforamtion and bringing the $$$$ as the most important thing. Hackers exist because MAYBE (why doesn't enyone think of that?) software licence isn't worth a shit?  :P Russian president V. Putin responded like that while hearing reports of increased computer piracy " We won't strenghten our measures of fighting it until the software monufacturers make fair prices, that are accesible to a middle person " I hop u got my point  ::)

As long as you can read data, you can copy it.

This is a simple physical truth that no amount of anti-hacker legislation can erase. The notion of copyright is artificial in the extreme, because it goes against basic physical reality. It is impossible to create a book that can be read but not copied. And the attempt to restrict the free flow of information and turn ideas into commodities that can be bought and sold strikes me as inherently orwellian. Hackers are essentially guilty of "thought crime".

(I'm talking about the kind of hackers who pirate software, of course - not the kind who actually steal money from your credit card or anything like that)

Want to get rid of software piracy? Eliminate copyright and make all software open-source. The Linux method seems to work quite well.
