Here is a taster of whats to come in our Dune - The Online Graphic Novel

This is a test render in 3d studiomax (also using character studio) of Atredies Security men guarding a passage deep in the Atredies Household on Arrakis.

Note atredies insignia on helmets and armour.

Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah nice OrLok can't wait to see the finished product. Btw the lighting is a little dark but hey this is a test. What inspired you guys to do an online graphic novel you know who's the mad genius?:)

hello people.

Usul's thopter game is/was from a few years ago (before dune2000).

Usul created the base for an online MUD and i knocked up some art (about 10 images in a day or so) for it.

Unfortunatly he ran into copyright problems and it was shelved.

His site is back again now, but thopter is no more......

As to the guns in the pic, yup they are mp40's circa ww2, but as I have to dreate so much art i cut corners where I can and the mix of new and old tech has always been an attraction of DUNE to me!.

It's only me (with some help from a mate) working on this project at the moment and I have a BIG task ahead, whether I follow the book OR fan fiction. So until I have a million dollar budget, we'll have to make do!
