Sweet! :D How long has work been going on for this game? I haven't even heard about it until now. This would be a nice addition to my collection of Earth 2150, and The Moon Project, (it does continue the storyline from there, doesn't it?)

The graphics look nice, I just hope they don't bring my box to its knees. Any ideas on the system specs?

Well it's been announced years ago, but nobody's really sure how long they've been actively working on it.

A large difference with the 2150 series will be that 2160 focuses around smaller scale battles, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

It should be released within a few months, btw.

I'd say that depends on your PC, the system requirements will probably be pretty high judging by those pics. I loved the previous Earth games so I'd be willing to invest in a new video card and stuff to play 2160.

Then I'd say you should definitively give it a try once it comes out. They've also got a beta test planned.

But... how can there be Earth 2160? Didn't Earth sort of... blow up in the previous game?

As far as I know, yes. I don't know how they plan to continue the storyline, but at least one faction should have escaped from the blue planet and perhaps headed towards Mars...

I must admit that these screenshots look superb. If the releasedate isn't shifted too much this game might become a real blockbuster.

The Earth was desttroyed, several thousends of each faction managed to evacuate to Mars. The title is just to indicate it's the successor of Earth 2150 and Earth 2140.
