GUNWOUNDS Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 It seems that all the Europeans in this forum who are a part of the EU are calling the Americans arrogant and super -patriotic....however it seems the Europeans in the EU are the arrogant ones... meaning we MUST gain their Approval for anything and if not then we are "bad" or "arrogant"...Since when did the EU become the Judges of humanity? Its so predictable.... America does something.. then all the british, french, german, etc, etc
nemafakei Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Well, when the Spanish elect the PSOE, they're irresponsible... It's just a question of point of view.Humanity is best viewed from the outside.
GUNWOUNDS Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 Not just us. Everyone's like that. ya i just think its funny how the people across the atlantic ocean call us arrogant when thinking their opinion is the only one that matters is guilty of the same.
GUNWOUNDS Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 Well, when the Spanish elect the PSOE, they're irresponsible... It's just a question of point of view.Humanity is best viewed from the outside.yes well we have 50 states and several different political parties... i suppose that should be enough for an objective view ....if all 50 agree i would say we dont need france or britain to validate us...
emprworm Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 WELL GUNWOUNDS, ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS!Europe thinks it owns the world.
Dante Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 It is arrogent of us to expect you to act only under our approval and it is arrogent of you to act without our express permission.There. Now we're both arrogent.

nemafakei Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 {quiet whisper} ...and we can see as the poster becomes more annoyed, he displays this by raising the size of his font, in an attempt to intimidate other posters. This is when posters become prone to lash out more than usual.. it would be inappropriate to approach this one without a thick shell and experinced training in handling such specimens...{end documentary}"if all 50 agree i would say we dont need france or britain to validate us..."It's not just a question of geographical or demographical quantity, it's also a case of cultural diversity. Unless you wish to claim that your culture is inherently superior anyway (not to say there aren't those who would, more's the pity), then you need to have a testing board of people in different cultures (NB: people, not their politicians or tyrants).
Caid Ivik Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 You insult me Gunwounds; if you think about our Holy Roman Empire then say EU, not Europe. That includes Slovakia as well.
emprworm Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 if it weren't for the racism and intolerance wrought inside Europe, it would be simply another "United States" where all its countries comprised one nation.but for now that cannot be, simply because of all the racism and bigotry (i.e. french hate italians, brits hate french, irish hate brits, dutch hate germans, germans hate french, etc., etc.,)
Dante Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Better than hating everyone. And you may want to prove your statements like that before you post them. I'm European. I'm not a racist.
emprworm Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Better than hating everyone. And you may want to prove your statements like that before you post them. I'm European. I'm not a racist. this coming from a guy that calls Bush a liar- that he knew Saddam had no WMD's and offers no proof?rofl. cmon dustscout. Cut the inconsistencies. If Europe was such a 'peace loving' community, who wants the world united, why does such an overwhelming majority of Europeans vigiliantly opposed to a United Europe as one nation? Because of nationalism, of course! There is so much nationalism in Europe, its practically puking it out into the Atlantic, oozing its way to the shores of the U.S. Germans would NOT want to be united with France. And you think Ireland wants to be one nation with England? Uhhh....The US has 50 territories...but all 1 government....1 federalized system.Europe could be that way...but racism, nationalism, prejudism will not tolerate it. So everytime Europeans talk about 'world peace' it just makes me belly laugh. They have such a double standard! another word: bigotry.let Europe UNITE as one nation, and then their claim to ' we want world peace' will be more reasonable.
Dante Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 The idea isn't to unify politically, it's to unify in the sense of working together while being different rather than all becoming the same.Duh.
EWS Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 There is a big difference in the USA having 50 states and Europe. Europe is made up of many different countries not states speaking different languages. Sure unity is happening with the Euro (which incidentally both Germany and France signed up for). However, I am against this whole idea, and infact believe that Scotland (my country) should be an independent country. These views are seen as "extreme" by many, but to me they are perfectly reasonable.Further, stop bringing Bush into everything, do you give him sexual pleasures or something?
GUNWOUNDS Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 You insult me Gunwounds; if you think about our Holy Roman Empire then say EU, not Europe. That includes Slovakia as well.Apologies.. corrections will be made to posts and title
emprworm Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Further, stop bringing Bush into everything, why? After all, it is you bush-hating Europeans that blame Bush for the spanish bombings. Bush-haters bring him into every world problem, and I'm just pointing that out.racism, patriotism in Europe? You bet! Everywhere.
Timenn Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 i.e. french hate italians, brits hate french, irish hate brits, dutch hate germans, germans hate french, etc., etc.,)You really know much about the world eh? Dutch don't like German soccer, Germany and French just laugh about others, French people make jokes about Brits, Brits do it vice versa, and they love involving Irish people in them as well. And you'll have about it...At least we have a sense of humor here...
SurlyPIG Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Excellent observation Newt. Far too much scapegoating going on here.Perhaps they consider their position so weak that they need to funnel everything everybody else says into something they can actually argue against.
GUNWOUNDS Posted March 18, 2004 Author Posted March 18, 2004 Hey you americans are so bad at stereotyping.
thomas Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 It's the new thing to blame bush for everything. Many europeons are very arrogant and see themselves above all. I personally feel that the "official opinion" of France, Germany, Spain and many others should just be disregarding because hell california alone is the 8th largest economy :O and money = power. the Spainish people are stupid, they give in to terrorists which just makes terrorism more effective and more frequent.
