I was surprised and pleased to see that Dune is still alive!

My name is Iain McNeil and I was the team leader on the Dune 2000 project & initially on Dune Emperor as well. Its really great to see so many people still getting fun out of a game that we made 5 years ago ( I forget now!)?After 2 years of Making Dune 2000 I had overdosed on RTS gaming and needed a break from it and early on in Dune Emperor I decided I needed to try something new, so that

Yes, definitely. We're in final discussions with a number of publishers & hope to make an announcement in the next week or two.

I'd love to see a "dune" styled version of the game... or maybe a game "inspired" from dune style play... I'd definate pay a bunch to purchase it...

i have one question: 

will you be hiring professional North American voice actors for the North American version of the game?  i sincerely hope so because from my past experience, playing games where the voice-actors were acting out English-language lines even though English was not their first language; did not sound very good at all.  ie:  the voice-acting was not convincing or believable in the least bit.

All voices are in Greek, Latin, Persian etc. There are no English voices.

question: why are the differences between units so little in dune 2000?

Maybe most RTS games of that era didnt follow the idea that units between sides can be very different and balanced, overall. Maybe they thought it would be difficult to balance the sides ?

I am shure its a bloody difficult task.  :O

It was basically a copy of dune II, thats why.

Nope, only atreides can call them in, in the form of an air strike, i think.
