Air Defense Platform question

I could  have sworn that AIR defense Platform fired on  my ground units in one mission. I thin it also fired on the units that were placed on the elevations. Is it true or I am smoking too much spice lately???

Yeah I have the guide too. Purchased it but not really reading. I have reinvented my own strategies.

well whoever wrote the guide is insane, the ADP is way better against ground than air

The ADP is much better against air, but it's not too bad against ground.

Hmmm not really it has to be paired with AA turrets to be effective. A couple of drones will smoke it.

welll any air unit that shoots can smoke it with out taking damage (exception air mine but that really isn't shooting) Just move in fire missile move out and repeat

i find they are best used for help in covering up weak points

       Air Defense Platforms are good for enemy infantry (that is, not Ordos AA troopers or Harkonnen Bazooka men).

       You can use them as an opening for a massed land attack. If you don't want to face a bunch of Kindjals, Snipers and Atreides Infantry, or Ordos Mortars and Chems, just fly over with 1-2 ADPs and then drive in.

       ADPs are also good for keeping your harvesting secure from infantry, light vehicles and aircraft. :)

Dont believe everything what the Manual says. "All" Ordos units slow down when hitted. Weird the Inf doesnt slow down then?

And Harkonnen units tough?? And still they die by a few shots?

it is true.... the dutch manual indeed says it fires on the ground as it is in the game (so dutch ppl rule :-)) but any way.... i don't find the adp very usefull... very expensive... incredibly slow... and easy to kill.... range not too good and damage only vs. light units and infantry.....
