Game you want to design/wish were out...

My game wouldn't really be a ''world'' game as such. Atleast, that would only be 1 of the factors that would make it amazing. It would be more like an epic opera on a huge theater that encompasses the much of the unverse in an realistic way where each player usually has atleast some part in the way the story goes. To make sure the story remains interesting and convincing, some people from the developers would initially fill in  important (obtainable) roles and would sometimes itervene in other ways so that the games story would have several distinct routes it could take.

I want a combination of Dune Generations and "The World" as described by other people here.  You could choose a planet to rule, starting in the time of the Butlerian Jihad.  Each side would have major advances that they can reserch, and once reserched, you could sell them to other people for cash, and military assistance.

The world would advance, and different things would happen as different technology was reserched, and different battles were won/lost on each side.  So it would be possible for the Butlerian Jihad to be lost by the humans, where the future would turn into a very machine dominated would.  Or, they humans could win, and things progress as they did in the Dune universe, but with major variations depending on player controlled actions.

There would be several servers running, all with different possible world scenarios.
