Gunseng_Harkonnen Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 Giedi Prime is the hardest with those bridges
Dunenewt Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 If only u could dump enemy units into water with carryalls...
DuneFanatic Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 I don't like fighting on Giedi Prime. You may not have the map, but Westwood made a map called "Carthag."It is located on Giedi Prime, and has to be the most boring map ever made, in my opinion. It's all flat, with maybe a few bridges and no infantry cover. It greatly annoyed me the one time I played on that map...Anyway, I think Caladan is the best terrain to fight on.
Aribites Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 i agree with dunenewt, if only you could dump units into water with carryalls...
Timenn Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 Too bad you don't have the terrain of the heighliner...
Terror Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 ah if i only got to get a sword and shield i would cut trough all atreides, ordos and harkonnen ranks and there would be no advance carryall to pick me up... no way..... me, my shield and sword... that's all i need to be victorious once again... i'm looking forward to my battle with the sardaukar elite's
Timenn Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 When you play missions you must have played the Heighliner missions as well... They are on a special terrain: In the Heighliner...
Wizpig Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 I like Caladin, a nice peaceful happy map. All except for that small little thing about killing each other off.I wish there was a way to make the computer players surrender to you when you have them overpowered.
Gunseng_Harkonnen Posted March 8, 2002 Posted March 8, 2002 It`s a preety funny terrain near those frigates in the night, when you have few troops
jacobdouds Posted March 8, 2002 Posted March 8, 2002 I, for more than obvious reasons, like playing on Sigma Draconis IV
Gunseng_Harkonnen Posted March 8, 2002 Posted March 8, 2002 We believe you, you are Ordos*home sweet home* ;)
Timenn Posted March 8, 2002 Posted March 8, 2002 I wish there was a way to make the computer players surrender to you when you have them overpowered. You know what happened with AoE II, there they surrendered when you was little overpowered, like in the beginning when you had 1 villager more, or something...
FeydRauttah Posted March 8, 2002 Posted March 8, 2002 The Heighliner rules, especially the Ordos mission - that's what I call a real cool atmosphere. Giedi Prime has also got an atmosphere, especially with those gallows and rusted bridges...It can be real creepy The best map on Dune is the one with the great lot of hungry sandworms in it (in the Atreides campaign, this terrain is just before the one that sends you to Giedi Prime).
Gunseng_Harkonnen Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 Sard as usually in great mood.Terrain...Arrakis has many terrain, so is best
jacobdouds Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 Arrakis is the heart of the game, as it is called dune, so therefore it is my favourite as the game would not be the same without it.
Sardauker-Kirov Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 Hopefully they will make a game of the Other planetary battles of dune. Harkonnen attacking the Atreides on Caladan. ;D(Yeah im always in a good mood, But im mad if i didnt watch anime or some Harkies slaughtering Civilians and Ordos Intoxicating some Inferior Fremen. Imagine That a Tayron in a good mood..... :O )
jacobdouds Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 It wouldn't be called Dune, it would be called Wave. It's just not the same.
Gunseng_Harkonnen Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 If it be almost only with Caladan terrain and few Arrakis, it still be called Dune, `cos Caladan is Dune stuff.Sard, Tayrons in good mood seems world upside down
jacobdouds Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 But dune is the heart of it. If it is based on Caladan it would need a different name. 'Dune - The war of the Atreides'
