I do use mine regulary. There are still things that require you to have a floppy drive..

lol ;D... you still use a floppy drive ...your joking right ? if you buy modems , graphics cards , sound cards , all the drivers are on cd , not floppy , and a smart media card reader is much much more important than a floppy drive, ohh well i guess some people are stuck in the past and , wont move forward , i suppose some people still use windows 95 ...lol... ;D , i am joking abot windows 95 ...no one still uses that...

There are many uses for a floppy disk. Like if I'm at a school's computer and need to save something to take home, I put it on the floppy disk. But I'm still using the same 10 floppy disks Since 1997. ;)

same here. . .I wanted to dumpt those diskette thingies [ a floppy is technically one fo those big 5.25" wobbely things ] a long time ago . . but then they seems to be needed from time to time. . . .

[tt]gryphon thinks of that darned delphi thingy he recieved 2 weeks ago. . . only be able to run from a drive dedicated as A:. . or when installing Novell Netware your default licence directory will be located on a diskette drive . ..[/tt]

Don't need to copy anything from work or school . . I have VPN access on all those locations. . and as second a USB memory stick or mobile harddrive is sufficient .. ;)

floppy drives are really useful, I use them to back up all of my school reports adn stuff, and it's a waste to save a small report on a CD, I'll change the power-supply, would 424 watt be good? I don't want to spend an extra $90 for a 500 watt, and I am spending now an extra $60 for the 425 watt.

how is it a waste , to save a small report on a CD when cd`s are cheaper than floppies ? and im sure you could save hundreds of your small reports on one cd , where it might fill dozens of floppies. ill convert the currency for you , but a blank cd costs about 5 cents , and would hold so much more data than a floppy,I just dont see the argument for floppies , ohh well , you pay for your floppy drive , why dont you have two , im sure a back-up floppy drive will come in handy.

25 floppies are $7, 10 cds are $10, um yeah cds are sure a hellava lot cheaper than floppys ::) ::) >:(

anf a floppy drive is like $15 so would matter if I had one?

cds are more expenisive than floppies, a cd is bout $1

AND FLOPPY IS ABOUT $.40 yep I don't know where you were taught math but from where I come from 0.40<1.00

and its freaking $15 extra, it doesn't matter, and I use my floppy drive alot on my current comp

Posted

Scytale are you a idiot , cd`s dont cost $1 you fool , shop around , there is bargains out there...

lol what a muppet

shy ???

it doesn't matter, because I have both and I'm not a muppet because if I was how could I be posted right now? muppets are inanimate objects.

lol how funny I just remembered, I HAVE BOT HCD_RW AND FLOPPY DRIVES!!!!

so what does it matter? as stated before I am willingly to pay an extra $15 for something so essential as a floppy drive, oh and I do havea usb mobile drive thingy, I use if for graphic design.

oh and the floppy drive is $7 my bad, and that's still nothing

ok. . .done with the floppy discussion for now. . .

If some one wants one that should be just as fine as some one who doesn't want one.. .

About the money and who is an idiot for buying floppys is not a thing we should discuss here in this manner.

I am not going to close it, think we all know when to stop. . .if not. . I am going to use that [tt]delete[/tt] button for the second time. ..

A lot of people are found of nVidia, and the radeon 9X00 had a bug which made it not the best choise for dual CPU systems.

Although I don't often buy nVidea cards myself. [ got a GF4 128 because it was the only desent card I could find within 30 minutes in the middle of nowhere, all otheres are usually Matrox ] think I would recomment a nVidia GF for gaiming. Although a lot a suppliers now have contracts with ATI [ which I personally prefer over nVidia ], nVidia is better supported and compatible with recent games.
