Anyone remember the Simpsons with Mr. Smith Goes To Washington?

First time Ah-nold doesn't get a bill through... all California will need is a dog with shifty eyes....

Just because Arnold is an immigrant, and is a bigshot actor, does not mean that he is inept in the area of politics. He could be, but we'll see, eh?

Posted

Who said anything about his being an immigrant?

I'm reffering to the fact he won't debate anyone, and has said absolutly nothing in his speeches except lame lines from his movies.

Him being an immigrant is a common objection, so I chose to address it before anyone brought it up.

Also, his not debating anyone is a political tactic. If you're already ahead in the polls, then the only thing debating with the candidates can do is hurt you - so, he doesn't do it. Only those behind in the polls should participate in debates.

I find it odd that news stations are using slogans from Arnolds movies. Isn't that kind of biased?

CNN right now is using "Judgement day" as a text slogan on the screen. Quite absurd. ;)

The Governator.

I wonder how many times we'll be hearing that?

At least we don't have to worry about any more movies like collateral damage.

If they would elect that Flynt, ok, he has already some success, so he should know how to work with money, but Arnie? Reagan was a good president, rather action one, but suiting his era. But when someone thinks about Bush as too active, such person can't even consider that German.
