Yah it is back online. Only one other user is online compared to like 10 before.

ICQ was the best right before it started having ads and a bunch of junk. I used to dislike msn messenger, but now used to it and its simplicity. And no one else uses ICQ from where I'm from, it's all messenger here.

Though MSN server are located locally. . we even have more then one in just The Netherlands . .. when one of them falls down. . just a certain group of users isn't able to log in anymore. ..

There is no main server that run's the MSN messenger service on the internet. .. .

Maybe you are right,it got hacked.

And what is DDOS? ???

It would require one hell of a hacker to hack all the servers used for msn.

And a DDOS can't knock out something like that. (if it's true that they use multiple servers in different countries)

I think they were just upgrading something and had to take the network down.

Think one guy writing a script for Microsoft RPC function will be enough .. . .

Lowzeewee, your MSN profile has a default server. . if that one goes down for any reason and there isn't a fully working backup server you can have experiances login into MSN . .

no clue . . . mayby a DDOS on commen MSN servers. . although I didn't get logged out here. . .
