hmm, you might as well call mars "iron ball" because that is basically what it is composed of.lol There is no sort of life that creates oxygen, and the sand is not composed of the same matter as it is on Dune. Also there is water deep in the surface of mars, even though people think different it has much water, just not on the surface. It wouldnt be a great place for shui hulud to live, though it would eventually be possible if sandtrout were placed there.

I remembered reading that there are stores of it under the surface of mars, or that is a hypothesis I have heard. It isnt just in the poles.

is it water on the poles? thought that was metan gas frozen or something like that. but maybe it isn't cold enough for that. it can be as warm as 0 degrees celsius there.

the water is frozen below the surface of mars, its a dead planet, some think its core died and thats why it turned into a frozen rusty ball, i dont think this fits in because in a million years or so earths temperature will rise 10% due to the sun... well thats warm enough for ice below mars' surface to evaporate and eventualy create an atmosphere with oxygen and blah blah blah blah blah

The 'easiest' planet to terraform is Venus, just add alga (seaweed) :D (You do need a lot of that though)

Mars has ice on its poles...Where sunlight hits not as often as it does in the rest of the planet...

Venus would be impossible because there is too much lava flow...Your seaweed and any human would be burned before they even try to hit the surface.

You need it in the atmosphere. There it can turn the toxics into human-friendly gasses. Once the thick cloud of toxic-gas is gone, Venus can start to cool down.
