Why can't you create new WOL accounts?

you can.. some people can anyways but i cant seem to, i seen a few people make new accounts recently they told me how to but it never works for me.

i can make a new account... but skum0m3n can't

here is how i did it, copy this into the url:

if that page doesnt' open then try going here:

http://westwood.com/westwoodonline/memberservices/index.html

and then click on account management

When was the last time you tried that URL? It doesn't work anymore through the web. Which means you will have to use an older program like RA2 and register with it. You can't register with Emperor's ingame system because all it does is load that website.

i tried it right after i posted and just tried them again now... they both work for me... but like i said they don't work for skum i've given him exact same ones... i dunno why they dont' work... there is one more way that might work just takes a little longer... go to this url:

if u can get there.. i know it says page not found BUT go to the lower right button that says member sevices... then go to account management then you will get to the screen that says i already have an account or ... i dont' have an account yet.... yada yada yada

if all that fails.... i really don know what else to do... you can try gobs way but i have no clue what he means ??? :-X :-[

Wow guys this is really starting to be a bad deal for me. I already have to find all the mappacks (a lot of your links are not working) but now I have to go and buy another game! Please dont make this look like a bigger and bigger waste of money to me...

That looked like the URL you used rigel but when I typed it in it says registration is down at the moment. Am I missing part of the URL or is it down for everyone?

Weird i just tried it again and it said down for maintenance

Update: i do not know if that was the reason, but after i deleted my cookies it worked again

It's not, it seems to do that more or less randomly and quite often at that.

Hmm the problem with the apiregister.westwood.com page is that all the data is sent to games2.westwood.com which means it doesn't work for me. But I did find one that does. :)

Wow :). That was a lot faster than expected....thanks for the info. I am now logged in as Maelos with _*maelos@cox.net*_ being my email ::). Well I'm not exactly logged in (dont have game yet) but at least I'm ready. Oh and If I see you online (hopefully no dl problems) please realize that I have just started and don't call me a "Noob" because I am really not all that bad I just need to adjust... :-,
