I've found a great game, a political strategy from late 80s. You play as a new Israeli premier and your task is to survive as long as possible: my personal record is one year and seven months, when my nuclear attack turned Cairo to a firing ball. Yes, it is! It misses Saudi Arabia, but whatever, they were allies...

damm,I only lasted 1 year and 5 months before Syria nuked me, well shit happens.

made it all the way through, i find the trick to winning is nuking egypt...

egypts military is huge to, i almost lost to em, but just as i was pushing them back, whammo they nuked cheap basterds

Miserable Egypt. I spent a whole year buying Apaches and M1A1 tanks and they wasted a half of army in one month. Let Cairo burns in plutonium...

dosnt work for egypt,and when they finaly are a gurrila force they get butcherd..

anyone else notice how libya gets owned in one turn by egpyt? i have never seen libya beat egypt or even put up much of a fight

That is a hugh factor not to be at war with Egypt keep your diplomatic relations on good terms.

When I nuke the others, I am always called "fascist" in summary. For the hell, what is fascistic on it?

I maintained good relations, supported uprisings, etc. Eventually had military alliances with Iran, Syria, and Egypt. Rebels overthrew Iran. I assassinated Iraq's leader. Lebanon and Jordan fell to Syria. I assassinated Syria's leader eventually.

Then I built up turn by turn on military spending. Invaded Egypt in May 2007...my nuclear holocaust ended the world in June 2007.

If you keep good relations with Egypt you can use them to bring stability to the region. My problem is always with Syria but if you support the insurgents you can control the state.

Against Syria I have one always functional clue: alliance with Libanon. Best is when these two are going against each other. Before Libanon is decimated (art to fetch the moment...) I invade Syria, and then is Libanon in my hands too. Iraq and Jordan should be eliminated by revolts, but that's not a problem.

Yes that is one way by taking advantage of their conflict (Syria and Lebanon). I do the same also with Jordan and Iraq they will fall from the inside. What is the highest level of anyone's prestige? I have had the Middle East political sitution to where it said "cool".

this game sounds fascinating. i love political strategy games. i only know of two region-specific ones including the one mentioned here (which i had not heard of before), and two global ones (including the one i'm developing ;D). i'll have to check this one out, it might give me some inspiration
