I think it was the Plowboy interview @the time of God-emperor, where Frank talked about the coming age of Islamic terrorism. Wind energy, too.

Wait a minute ! So you kids are saying the RICH run the world ? Well, I'm just flabbergasted ..... -
"I'm actually a therapist/human behaviorist and study the sub-conscious mind and very successful/good at it." BULLshit. Bring your silly little moronic ass over to Jacurutu, and I'll tell you what you are .....
-
"income-tax deniers" ?!? that's just blatant baiting, Chigger.

most Canadians are rednecks, in the original meaning of the Scottish "rebels" .... and I just can't bring myself to get all hyped up over the Obama-bashing - considering what I myself did to poor ol' W. in the first hundred days. of course, I had the advantage of knowing what a slick little monster he actually was. it took the rest of the nation a few years to catch on ... and you ain't that much younger'n me, chubby ...

that went well.

hey, chig, are all 3d game modelers, or whatever it is he's talking about, that irritable ? I don't think I have any 3d-files, but I've got an old musty pair of socks I wore in the cavalry boots for about a week I can send you for comparison. But really, stop wasting this dude's time. He's obviously a busy man.

not to be trollish, or snarky, but a legitimate question: what's the average age of posters in this thread ? (for the record, I'm 61)

Apologies to FED2K Regulars : After some private discussion, we, the unwashed OutCast of Jacurutu wish to apologize to the FED2K regular posters for our trollish behaviour in regards to our baiting of St. Hypatia of Arrakeen, and the attempt to drag the feud to this board. It will not happen again in the future.

ever seen Tin Drum ? -
go to spinrad's current page at sff.net: http://www.sff.net/people/normanspinrad/ and follow the links to the excerpts of OSAMA THE GUN he posted on scribd.com
-
Spinrad wrote that introduction for a special reissue of the German DUNE edition by Heyne Verlag - it was only published in German. He put up the original English text on his website because it had never been published anywhere - it's not a well-known or often quoted essay.
-
Berg's going to miss the point, just like everybody else seems to have since the 80s or so. The central theme of DUNE is not 'ecology'. Norman Spinrad will tell you why : http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/normanspinrad/dune.htm

Pinky & the Wetbrain is good too. Hacks Twain. KJA & That Other Guy. {g-damazon.com billed them as "The Sons of Dune" once. I had a different take on that one.}

Before you go too far, read what Frank Herbert thought of the movie- Introduction (Eye) - 1985 posted at Jacuturu: http://www.jacurutu.com/viewtopic.php?t=907 -
wish you hadn't made me do that (next time I'll wait for your link) Andrew Ian Dodge's review came up on the first page, reminding me I hadn't said anything nasty to him on his own blahg today or posted a nasty comment on one of the many, many, right-wing reactionary blahg-sites he posts on. (done & done) Then I got sidetracked on the macmillan site - I've read this stuff thru ten or twelve times, and I can only find one true fact, being that Paul of Dune "begins immediately after the close of Dune" - but that's not really true, since half the "book" takes place before Dune.
-
since I'm here, didn't you say somewhere that your blahg server and Merritt's board server were the same ? If so, that would explain the strange things that just happened.
