Thank you very much! Keep on it! 😁 -
This is an incredible god job. Tested & working under Windows 10. Thank you very much!. I am actually waiting for next release! I hope you can add the feature to use the new tilesets: BLOXSNOW, BLOXTD and BLOXTEM. Thanks again! #followingthis!

Thanks! I was there before, missed the dd link! xD
-
Thanks, but nope...That zip file only has BLOXTD tileset. I was looking for BLOXTEM and BLOXSNOW. I think D2kEditor needs an update. If there's another "official" way to add them please let me know :)

Can't find the new RA tilesets (grass and snow) on the editor. How can I add them?
-
Have you ever tried that? Is it possible?

CnCNet 5 now supports Dune 2000! Play Dune 2000 Online, now!
skuallx replied to FunkyFr3sh's topic in Dune 2000
I'm totally agreed. I share every word you said. But I will keep thinking that that feature is interesting and there's no harm on having an option to play with or without it; let the players decide. We (me and my brother) play custom maps on LAN that I made in which 2 vs 6AI is almost imposible, and "queues feature" may give us a chance to win. I think that would be nice to have the option at least on LAN games, so people like me are free to use it or not; by not compromising the online game, but still enjoying the features that cncnet give us. Btw I have tried openra, but not my thing. Dune 2000 is Dune 2000 :D Good work! and Thanks!!! I'm here for future testings ;) -

Yeah, crossed my mind too. At least it's working now with your new dune2000-spawn.exe. Hope you can find a perm solution. Other topic, (if I may) I'm still waiting for a enable/disable option for build queues. Will this option ever be available? Btw I love the new "short game" option. -

Confirmed. It worked. And going backwards (unchecking compatibility 16 bit) the bug seems to be fixed after doing that. Now works with or without DxWnd, why's that? -

I'll try later or tomorrow on lower resolutions. Meanwhile I can tell you that without DxWnd the game does not start giving me the error attached. Otherwise playing with DxWnd seems going ok. -

Good news! Seems like your dune2000-spawn.exe is fully working, we're playing right now. We're using the highest res on fullscreen. Although right now the game gives us a new error (I'm attaching a jpeg). But I think is an isolated error. No more "this video card does not support..." I'll try a few more times. But I can say the bug seems to be gone... -

Yep, I've tried it. No effect at all. Now that I realize this is a windows problem, if I can "fix" it by changing the game folder's name; we should try to look on that behavior in order to understand what's happening. -

the lastest updates are giving me "this video card does not support the requiered modes, please open the dune 2000 config program and change your resolution". a few updates ago I didn't have this issue. I've tried to use "windows 8 compatibility mode" on dune2000-spawn.exe and it worked, but this gives you random freezes or gametricks error. the only temporal solution I found so far is changing the gamefolder's name everytime I start a new game/skirmish. anyone else with this problem? any solid solution? -
If you can make new tilesets using the same places as the original dune 2000 files we can use those new tilesets on old good maps like habbanya erg... For example a snow tileset will look amazing on that map or Imperial basin. If we can switch new tilessets between old maps we can give them new life :-)
-
Totally agreed with that. I'm just saying that we should keep the "base" tiles in its original places (like cliffs, rocks, sand or grass and other common tiles) and of course get rid of the non-useful tiles to place extra new stuff. Either way it is a great job! Thank you guys.
-
I've been messing around with the new BLOXTD and BLOXTEE tilesets. They're really nice. I've been thinking that would be more useful if we keep the original place of the tiles. Doing this we could use every new tileset we create with old maps without needing to re-editing the whole map to match the tiles. I believe we should take a desition over this now, so; we can create standard rules for creating new tilesets, being easier to share with dune2k community.

Dune 2000 1.06p - Game patching (bug fixes, new features)
skuallx replied to FunkyFr3sh's topic in Dune 2000
I'm having the same problem here: ""This video card does not support the required modes..." when i'm trying to launch the game. I'm using the last "dune2000.exe" version on Windows 10 build 10240 rtm I've read on the forum there's a workaround for this by changing the game folder's name. I tried it and it worked, but only one time. As soon as I started another game, same error shows up. I'm using the game in "Win 8 compatibility mode" for now, but this gives me freeze problems on LAN games... I'll still using it 'til a solution come up. -
Yes! I find it very handy. Multiple options / features are available unlike the original lobby. The constant improvement of the CnCNet only makes it better. I wish in a near future an option for build queues will be available. Great work! Thanks!
