The format of XBF files found in Emperor. Not all parts of the XBF files have been decoded yet.
  7. 8) That would be nearly impossible to make IMo , for several reasons i could think of. 1.you would have to make or be able to use the Emperor engine. 2. there is no way to know all of the rules/particulars of how things were coded in the engine. 3. there would be so many different combinations of things that someone might put together, but with out the engine documentation there is no way to tell , what is allowed in a unit/building etc A person MIGHT be able to glean through some programs and find bits and pieces of what or might not work. But i think the result would be of little use for the amount of work needed to put that together.
  8. I could have sworn i already answered the original question some time ago.
  9. >:( Riper Obviously you need to work on some of your diplomacy skills. For a person that runs a site that uses other peoples content they provide , you should learn to be a little more neutral in what you post. " Preferably original ideas " Quote from your previous post Well to start with I Rarely ever look at others programs. If i happen to duplicate something in another program it is because i need to or feel it is necessary for the program to operate as i intend it too.. " And second, it allows you to create Readme files for your map, which makes it a competitor to the Map Information Manager. " Quote from your site Well this is really trivial ! For one it is a little stupid not to inlcude something when one is creating an archive of files where a readme is expected. On top of that you should know better , I`m sure your aware of just how easy it is to load and save stuff out of a notepad style object. Now don`t you think it would be rather friggin stupid to leave that functionality out just because some other program does it too, one that i have never looked . "One, the file size is only 10 kb smaller than a zip file, so that's not worth it. " another quote from your site. Well the point was not to compress the crap out of it with some obscure compression scheme. The point was to at least maintain a reasonable file size with what a zip could make , and also so other people would have a chance at making utilities that would work with it. Being as i know there was at least one other person that knows how to uncompress /compress rfh files i used that compression method for that reason. While i certainly could have used some other scheme , I doubt there would be many others that would be able to use the same. You failed to see the whole point the progarm tries to address, which simply was to make it easier for people to figure out what files they need, and how to pack them up. Certainly there is people that do not understand how to zip files with paths etc, and then you also have the problem of the end user putting them someplace else. So although two people can have the same map files if they are in different directory names , they will not be able to play that map. It doesn`t matter to me if another person comes up with a program that does the same thing in a better way, I don`t pretend to be a great GUi designer, for that reason i published the file foirmat that i used. So another person could design something to work with the files. Right about now I am somewhat miffed. a few more quotes of yours " though I hate Map Packer" "Personally I wouldn't recommend this product" Well i`ll tell you what.. You dislike my stuff that much ,take my content off your site and be sure not to post anymore . I don`t want my content on a site where the webmaster is not going to give everything an equal chance. Good or bad the users will decide for themselves what is good for them. I`m not going to tell you how to run your site , but i am saying i don`t want my stuff there if you keep doing it the way you are now.
  10. 8) AlphaBeta4000 I found all you need is One Ramp tile beside a rock tile , and the no ramps defined message will go away. You can surround that ramp tile with any other tile type but one ramp tile must touch a rock tile. You might be able to get it to work with other tile types but i haven`t tried many others.
  11. 8) Anybody running win2k or Xp can turn on filtering for the tcp/ip protocol as well. You can effectively deny all access to your machine. Not a user friendly thing but effective. As for the norton firewall it works quite well ,but you need to know what your doing. If you leave it in auto mode yeah it makes all kinds of stupid rules. But if you tell it to shut off everything then make rules/modify for only what you want , it works much better. Something of a pain in the arse at times .
  12. 8) Been there done that ,except i got some in both eyes at the same time. Can`t say it was something i care to repeat. I always have "good" goggles on now when grinding and welding , no more plain face shields .
  13. 8) Which slot is the Live in ? Sometimes it needs to be in the 3rd pci slot down. I have a durron 700 ockld to 900 on an A7v mobo and it runs fine. Also have a TBird 1.33 on an a7v133 and it runs fine in there too. I used via 1.32 drivers though. Also it runs with the standard win2k drivers on this one for the live.
  14. 8) Yep AI is sometimes just plain braindead specifically Spiceminers are the worst , you would think two of them could share 3 pads , never mind when there is more of them :( Expensive units like devastors shouldn`t be targeting ground troops when it`s taking hits from a mino either I would like a small anti personnel laser on the spiceminers too something like the soviet ore miner in Ra2
  15. 8) And the point of this thread is ???
