Another one of my works: http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?ikgm1fy6krs It's not as neat or as clever as my last one, but I thought it was nice. It's a TimberWolf mech from MechWarrior.

No, two maker-hooks and blood all over the place. Remember? Maker-hooks are used to jump on and ride on worms.

Ideas like that arn't very far fetched. If you remember, in Ancient Rome, they would have Gladiatoral Battles, arming slaves with weapons such as swords, axes, and maces, and sometimes giving them light armor, and sending them against each other. Or they would feed people to the lions and tigers. The most interesting part of all this though, was there was no cost of admission to enter the Collisseum, the stadium where these bloodsports took place, you could get in for free. I mean, we pay hundreds of dollars to watch people throw a ball around. But in Ancient Rome, we could watch people being decapitated, eaten, slayn, impaled, burned, and run over by chariots for FREE.

The Interesting Careers of Frank Herbert.
Imperial Sardaukar replied to Imperial Sardaukar's topic in Duniverse
He was really trying to find out what he was good! I mean, I'll be happy to have experience in 1/7th the number of those jobs! -
Anybody ever look in the back of a Frank Herbert book, and read the short little life story of him? Did anyone notice what careers he had before a full time writer? He was a jungle surival instructor and a pearl diver! Talk about strange!

All of my allies complain that the reason I can't ever win, is because I have a terrible build order... but I honestly have no build order, when I feel like it's time for a factory or a refinery, I build one! But, I do understand it's holding me back, I'm a Harkonnen player btw, and while giving me a good build order, could you give me the time frame I should be building what units when. This is for online play, I just need some tips and tricks to get me started again. ;)

Ha, Salusa Secondus is probablly Dune x 20 for the time they stay there. It's probablly a temporary torture camp for training elite soldiers!

Not that I was actually gone, just busy with work, and then Half-Life 2 took up the rest of the time I had, well, I reinstalled EBFD, bought myself the latest prequel, and I'm back in the game. ;D Anyways, since without it this would not be a Dune related thread, I'll ask a question about the Duniverse. If the Atreides are actually a derivitve of the Harkonnen, where and why did they split? I remember the original book mentioning it, but from there, I can't remember.

Well, Mr. SmartyPants, why don't you give it a shot. :P

Ah, no, the question is completely valid. It just seemed from your previous post you were satisfied with his response. Your question is perfectly acceptable.

Nema Fakei, would you like to make a new question? Or do you feel that Vanguard gave a reasonable answer?

Think of folding space like moving from point A to point B A-----B ------ Repersents the distance to travel. Now think of the Holtzman engines as creators of REALLY good shortcuts. These shortcuts cuts down the distance to travel from point A to point B to absolutely zero. So instead of A------B We have AB You move from A to B without traveling any distance at all. Speed is not a factor here. Speed is distance traveled divided by the time of travel. If you have no distance traveled, how do you define speed?
