I was looking on a currency converter http://www.xe.com/ucc/ today and seeing how other currencys compared to the US dollar. I went through a few and most were pretty close or if they were it wasent like stunning how much it was off. Except for one that i saw. Look at the comparason of the US dollor to the turkish lira.

1000 USD= 1,614,999,545.03 TRL :O :O :O

holy sh*t a fricken snickers bar must be like 3 million lira lol. Thats really scary....but yet amusing.

What are the wages in Turkey? This is relevant to get an understanding of how much of a difference there is. (It's common for a USD to be worth more in a European country - my friend went to this elaborate restaurant in Europe with the wine and everything, and paid 5 dollars!)

LOL LOL LOL, in france htey use hte euro right? and hte euro is like .87-1.02 USD right? then how come it costs like seven bucks for a fricken coke?? my mom went ot franch in 96 when they used the franc and a coke cost about the equivelent of 7 USD :O :O :O :O :O :O :O :O and it was in a 20 oz. bottle too, so now I wonder how much a 2 liter bottle of coke costs ??? ?

I know a guy that lived in turkey for a while and he said its quite common to carry up to a few million lira with you. Its really sad. I just think its funny from an americans point of view.
