here are some neat pictures I took in Orbiter. It is a great space sim, one is of me reentering the earth's atmosphere. it is complicated and have to learn how orbits and orbital decay works as well as a bunc of other stuff to do. but it is so enjoyable to play and learn this game. amazing! another one is me docked at the ISS. and another one is a futuristic shuttle that aws docked to the ISS, but I undocked and moved to my own orbit. hope you guys like the picture and check this game out. totally worth it. :)[attachment archived by Gobalopper]

Nice pictures. Are you finally getting the hang of the sim, or are you still just playing around with stuff? Can you do much with the Dragonfly? How do you accelerate with that thing?

By the way, have you been playing Frontier at all? I've found out how to make a second hyperspace jump: one jump burns one ton of hydrogen fuel, which you have to have in your cargo bay. You've re-addicted me to the game. :)

hehe that game kicks bass! hehe I havebeen playing it a lot more and geesh it is so fun. yeah I know how to orbit and slingshot and to do reentery. now just practicing to travel between large gaps to othe planets and use the right navigation equipment. Also how to use the communications devices of the game and the mathematics.

Is it multi player? As in can you play with others on other computers. Nice pictures, at first I thought they were real. :O nice!

Just 1 question before trying out the game,are there any ways of landing?

yup. Some ships you can virtically land. most though you have to land at one of two dozen actual space and airports. you can go back into the atmosphere or escape it. you can go to all the planets in the solar system and beyond. there are hundreds of wonderful addons with new solar systems. all at your control! wonderful. I dont know if there is multiplayer. the problem is, there is no AI or missions. It is all just free exploring. starting from being docked at the ISS or on earth or the moon or planet moons. wonderful stuff! here is my favorite picture I took. check this out.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]

I did it! since this game is based on 100 % true space/atmospheric and vehicle physics, I thought, why couldnt I decay the orbit of the international space station? Well I got into a stable orbit and docked to the ISS. I then with my thrusters manipulated the space station and misalligned it's orbit. I then broke off from it and went out of orbit myself. the last thing I saw was a burning comet... the ISS burning up in reentery. hehehehe ;D lol ahh I am such a dork. hehe

yes but there is a time I think when you dont edit your posts. (this isnt one of them)

1. when a post is too long, or maybe is of a completely different thesis than your semi long post

2. if your the last one to post and have more to say but no one has replied in a week (when thread is at bottom of page)

Because few are going to go to the second page to see if someone edited their post or not.

so in this game do you just fly around and stuff? or do you buy items, do technical stuff. the most important wuestions is "Can you die?"

None of those apply here. And yes I am guilty of doing such, but they were when either 1 or 2 was applied (which you used as a reason to do so), this is neither of them applied.

Back to the topic, is this the acclaimed "most realistic, and fun Space sim" of the year? I heard there was one, and this looks like a candidate.

yup it is acriku, and also I just dont know how to do all that internet stuff. I dont want to learn it. lso, I dont do this often and there is no other way I can do it. so just cool it down man. dont attack me all the time.

Yeah this is an awesome game. I suggest all of you downloading it. its free and all together under 30 megabytes. no yo cant buy anything or cool stuff like that. It is just a freespace and atmospheric simulator. It is still totally worth it to get though! And I found out from the man who created the game, that AI building, missions concerning cargo shipping and warlike stuff, all sorts of othe neat game settings are going to be added with a new version of orbiter coming out soon. that means you get to do all that I have talked about now, (which is worth it by itself!) and do cool missions and fighting!
