right,

I am using a recently installed version of Internet explorer6, I am in 1024 X 768 and the text looks like it is being view through a fish net. Some is visible and some isn't

He :) I had that ones. Don't think there is any need for a directX file [ althougth if you would want to post one ;) ].

Try updating Java runtime and look through the properties of IE and see if scripting and all those things are turned on.

If you highlight the text, do the letter become clear at that point ?

Did you install all features of IE ?

When I had the problem it was with the first Beta of Opera 7. It was happening randomly. . and I did manage to fix it before getting the new Beta version back then. [ the new beta had solved the problem from itself ]. Can't remember at this time what I did to overome it .. :-

Yup, if you highlight it it does become clear and I down't think it is a directX prob. It happened after I installed IE6 off an old CD. IS there and update site. (lousy microsoft)

Hmmmmm........the directX is just newly updated.......

Watch it when you using the updater. If the computer crashes while doing that, it demolishes your entire computer, which means you can build it up from scratch again. (In Win98)
