Greek Filmmakers Urge U.S. Film Boycott. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030325/ap_en_mo/greece_boycott_1

Also in Germany and France, there is a push to boycott American Films!

But American Films are made in Hollywood by upper class opulent elitist rich people who have nothing better to do in life but pat each other on the back, wear Vercace gowns, get married & divorced 15 times, and spend money on opulent parties and beverly hills mansions. These people are perhaps the most liberal anti-bush america-hating people in the entire US. Holywood elitists have gone to Bagdhad and on Iraqi soil have slammed Bush and America. And here is Europe boycotting their movies! LOL!!! :D :D

ha ha ha!

I LOVE THAT.

Make those hollywood elitist rich suckers PAY!!!

I want to say that I fully support the international boycott of American Films. These rich liberal losers need to feel what the real world is like.

You mean greedy capitalist pig-dogs bathing in luxury while millions of innocents die of starvation? They're getting boycotted?

This is wonderful news!! :)

(by the way, thank you for sharing the communist point of view, Emprworm. I never thought I'd see you say this kind of thing - you're making progress! ;) )

Hey, do you knw that Dick's dughter (I mean vice-president's Dick Chaney... whatever) is on her way to Baghdad to join antiwar protests?

That's really good news for the US isn't it?

And the films? Well, they became some sort of a stereotype anyway...

She truly is an idiot. But anywho...

I think that this will only hurt those who do not watch it. Some of these films are great, some are horrible. A country or two not watching it won't hurt the business at all.

why are you happy about this guys? these are the movies that you enjoy, and frankly I have not heard of anybody who loved to death international film. (people from other countries dont count!) lol

If anybody wants to get into independant or international film, you can talk to me. I love a lot of it.

Or Babylon5. One of the greatest series ever made. I think the scenario was almost as good as the Dune books, it had something really great.

Hehe that is ironic indeed. Lots of celebrities are rather wishy-washy (ie Michael Moore). You probably wouldn't find stronger group of anti-war protesters among any other subculture in the country.

Yeah, but most of the hollywood stars are just ''anti-war'' because I have to make sure their image remains appealing to the masses

Oh well.

Atleast, their claims are more believable than things such as Britney claiming to be a virgin with her squeeky ''good-girl'' image when it is well known she only became a ''music'' star due to her good looks...lol ;D ;D ;D

I agree with Edrico on this one, however I am not a communist and it will not appreciate comments like ''he is progressing well :)'' because such comments are aggravating in a manner that I need not describe and with reasons that are obvious... unless of course Edrico would admit that it is only progress from his perspective

I don't think it has much to do with their image. Clebrity superstars are very saught after, one might have fan clubs and followers or 'junkies'. Sometimes the stars confuse this with actually caring about what the person thinks, and they often overstep the bounds of their knowledge. It's not just movie stars, though, its musicians, athlets, models, etc. Think about it; does it really matter what Martin Sheen says about foreign policy? Is his opinion somehow made more important by the fact that he is a famous actor? Now if he were to comment on the movie industry or new actors it would carry a lot of weight, but I don't know why people would allow themselves to be influenced very much by what celebrities think.

Are you suggesting that Michael Moore is " Wishy Washy" cus "Wishy Washy" he aint!Try watching his movies starting with 'Roger and Me'.He is consistant in his beliefs ,see if you can figure out what they are!MichaelMoore is a good man, documenting the lives of americans, sure it rubs people the wrong way, especialy rednecked americans, but lets face it they are the Minority.

Michael Moore is nothing more than a fat man with money. Ever see 'Bowling for Columbine'? It's dumb as hell, and focuses on propoganda and comedy to get his point across. Moore is a member of the NRA, yet talks about the evil doings that guns (realistically, people) do. So yes, in this docu his beliefs are rather wishy-washy.
